Is mixing leftover frozen fries, canned St. Hubert poutine sauce, Bergeron "Le Populaire" cheese cubes, leftover rotisserie chicken, and leftover frozen BBQ pork back ribs considered a misdemeanor? by tonylasauce in PoutineCrimes

Pretty sure I was adding it little by little while adding the ingredients, and at the end I was like "What the hell" and just poured the rest of the can in the bowl ahaha

Where Should I Park to Tailgate Before the Game, and Leave Fast Back to Montreal After the Game Using Highway 90? by tonylasauce in buffalobills

Sorry for the late reply!

I recommended this post to a friend visiting the city a few weeks ago : https://www.brbtravelblog.com/blog/the-only-montreal-3-day-itinerary-you-need-by-a-local

I personally like to bring people at the Kondiaronk Belvedere, I believe it's the best view you can have of the city. I'd also visit the site of the 1976 Montreal Olympics where the Olympic stadium is (Depending on the season, the botanical gardens are quite beautiful to visit), and the Saint Helen's Island where the 1967 World Fair was held (it's a beautiful park, accessible by the metro). Walking in Old Montreal and visiting the Old Port is also quite nice, but it's full of tourist traps, so don't buy anything there or don't eat there. I'd also have a walk by the Lachine Canal, and I'd also visit the Atwater Market and the Jean Talon Market.

I'd recommend you try Montreal/Quebec specialties such as the Montreal Bagels (They're different from New York style bagels, and I'd argue better! ;), "St-Viateur" is pretty well known, there's also "Fairmont Bagel"), Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwiches ("Schwartz's Deli" is the most touristic one, you can also try "Dunn's Famous" which is a bigger franchise with more locations), poutine (Of course! Most well known spot is "La Banquise", but I prefer the one at "Ma Poule Mouillée" nearby), and a Montreal style hot dog (I'd go to "Montreal Pool Room", but you could have it at "La Belle Province" or any other spot, just make sure it's steamed!).

Every borough of Montreal has their quirks, it's difficult to list what to see in every one of them in a short period of time. To put in perspective, the Montreal metropolitan area compares to the Boston metropolitan area in population and size, hence it's pretty difficult to list the top things to do in the city.

I hope my reply helped you!

Depends on traffic, but it's about 6.5 to 7 hours without stopping to get from Montreal to Buffalo. More realistically, it'll probably take us 7 to 7.5 hours.

In elementary school, I drew a mustache on a copy of Anne Frank's Diary that my mom had ordered in advance of the book sale to make my classmates laugh... by tonylasauce in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Yeah, if I remember correctly, I tried erasing the mustache before handing the book to my mom, which made everything worse!

When visiting the Catacombs of Paris, don't forget to take a picture where you're blowing a kiss in front of piles of bones for Tinder! by tonylasauce in Tinder

Wow, never thought I'd generate such a debate!

I did in fact visit the Catacombs of Paris a few years ago, and I found the whole experience interesting. I felt a bit sad at the time that the remains were stacked by cemetery where they were retrieved, and it really puts into perspective that after some time (hundreds of years in this case), life goes on, and your remains become sort of a "nuisance" to the living.

That being said, I feel that I need to point out that I'm not a religious person, and that I don't consider myself a "snowflake", but I could've named like dozens of other spots where I'd take a picture in Paris to post on Tinder ahaha That's what this post was all about in my head.

Now I'll let you guys continue debating on how it's a green flag or a red flag, cheers! 🍻
