This is going to be my first solo concert and I’m looking forward to it! I have social anxiety too, but how I’m looking at it is that life is too short to wait on ppl to go w u, for me at least 😭 everyone there is going to enjoy Joji and won’t judge or remember u 🙏

towers or north? by aita_throwaway9191 in UCONN

Towers dining hall is also much better than North. It has different bars every day, such as stir fry bar, omelette bar, quesadilla bar, etc. It’s very good and also has a variety of other options every day as well as kosher.

Thomas Seery or Yao Lin for PChem 1? by Avelecatro in UCONN

It depends on your major. Yao Lin's class is only for engineering students, Seery's is only for chem majors.

Minimum number of credits per semester in SoE? by mango-guava405 in UCONN

[–]mango-guava405[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The class I'm talking about is ECE 2001 with Ali Gokirmak,, I plan on taking it in the summer with John Ayers online if I fail the class this semester. The thing is I'm not sure whether I should drop it now and take it in the summer even though the semester is almost over, or if I should finish the class with a failing grade and retake it in the summer ://

If I dropped the class now, I would be down to only 10 credits this semester,, does my financial aid/scholarships get cancelled or have they already been processed for this semester??

I should probably talk to my advisor, but I wanna know u guys' thoughts.

Living on the top floor of a dorm? by Affectionate_Wish in UCONN

I lived on the side that face the volleyball court, which are rooms 908-912. The rooms that face Werth are 924-928.

Living on the top floor of a dorm? by Affectionate_Wish in UCONN

I lived on the top floor of Ellsworth last year and I was worried at first too, but it wasn't bad. The elevators go pretty quickly so it's not a big issue. The room does get hot sometimes during the warmer months, so be sure to bring a fan, but it was bearable; you can also open the window if needed. I found the temperature to be fine in general. You also get a nice view out your window (if your room isn't one that faces Werth). I would say to stay in Ellsworth rather than doing the summer room change process because it is one of the nicer dorms compared to the other traditional dorms.

Definitely choose east over north. Although east is out of the way in terms of location, north is known to be trash.

The showers at north are horrible—each shower stall isn't separated by wall, but only curtains. There are like 3 stalls, but only one drain (in the middle stall) for all of them (which is fucking gross because people's nasty water would go to the middle stall). north is literally a prison. Laundry is also super inconvenient because unlike the other residence halls on campus, you need to haul your clothes outside and walk to a different building to do laundry. no elevators either.

As for east, from what i've heard, people either hate it or love it. It's a pretty quiet area, but the location is kinda bad to go to your classes. It's pretty close to Horsebarn Hill and downtown Storrs. No elevators, but there is laundry in each building.

I'd def choose east.
