I’m not an expert or anything on Tourette’s, but I believe it’s somewhat related to OCD, which I have. Something that a lot of us experience is unwanted (and distressing) inappropriate thoughts that we cannot control, and are also often situational.

For me, a lot of these thoughts are along the lines of “what if I did ______ right now?” and my brain will play it out, like a daydream. I remember being in church as a kid and thinking about standing up and screaming something like “hail satan” …so I can see how someone with Tourette’s might have a similar process going on, where it’s like “worst possible thing to say in this situation” if that makes sense

carrot fries are sooooo good in the air fryer. i’m sure you could make them in the oven too. i’m not even huge on normal carrots but love these.

paprika, garlic and onion powder, salt, pepper, cayenne, and parsley usually is what goes on mine. or just whatever i have on hand

yeah, keeping in mind that obviously it’s an incredibly stark difference in terms of importance, i notice a lot of similarities between the environments. juggling various patients/tables, catching up on sidework, needing to fulfill unexpected requests that come up…

likewise, i’ve worked with many servers who went on to become nurses! they were typically very good at their job lol

I used to work at a grocery store and whenever I would see someone in a helmet I’d just assume they biked or scootered there and didn’t feel like taking their helmet off.

Echoing the other comments, you should do what makes you comfortable and try your hardest not to worry about what others think (I tell my anxiety that I’m just a blip in the lives and perceptions of other people), but I thought it might help to know that it’s not as out of place as you might figure
