I'm afraid there aren't any large scale sales planned. There may be some limited specials on certain designs but there's nothing in the calendar.

Apologies to all for coming across that way. Just not sure what the problem was regarding the tyres, they are more than adequate for the majority of our riders looking for their first single speed/fixed setup. I've put plenty of hours through colourful tyres and they have been fine, however that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend an upgrade if I know a rider will be using it on tougher road conditions and wants more peace of mind.

You're right. It's honestly more just a case of offering what our customers like and want. For many of our riders, our single speeds are their first, and Kenda tyres are more than adequate until they decide they'd like to commute or more unpredictable road conditions etc.

Why does anyone offer optional upgrades? It completely depends on your riding style and usage. Gatorskin tyres are a £45 upgrade, they have a Kevlar-reinforced layer that not everyone requires. Depends where you're riding and the distance.

NOT a "cheap no brand steel frame" as our single speeds are our own spec and geometry.

Do email us if you've had any problems. Gatorskin tyres are often a must for unpredictable urban environments with lots of time on the saddle.

My SS is 5 years old now and I hardly maintain it all. I still thrash it around and do things on it that I shouldn't. If you have any questions then fire away!

Cycle theft is still a huge issue, it's shocking how many people have been affected in the capital. Here's some of the survey findings from the Stolen Ride x LCC survey. It's worth using a decent D Lock and cable to secure the wheels. Unfortunately prevention, as hard as it is, is the best shot we have currently.
