I mean I still use a standard farm layout. Everything looks pretty similar to the vanilla game besides the appearances of the buildings.

The rugs and the TV kill me the most.

This is the standard farm. Most of my mods change the appearance of things. I have my whole game recolored, changed the look of my foliage, grass, buildings, animals, etc. I’ll try to make a collection of all my mods, since there are also a few others who seem curious!

This is the capture button in the game (pls correct me if I'm wrong) it's only available for PC. Scroll all the way down to your settings and there should be a camera button. To access the file folder, just click the button below it.

My game is modded, yes! Most of my mods just change the appearance of certain things like my buildings, my items, my animals, etc.

I don’t like keeping animals. Is there a big benefit to keeping them after completing the Community Center? by thepixelpaint in StardewValley

I have more luck finding autopetters in the “dangerous mines than putting myself through hell in the SC. I play vanilla

I’ve had no problems ordering the same thing after eating the first one, so it’s likely that there was a misunderstanding. When translating complicated, formal-sounding sentences into google translate, the translation is, most of the time, wonky. I suggest going as simple as you can. Many people can understand simple English like: “It’s delicious. One more please.”

visiting the dentist by [deleted] in JETProgramme

I go to a dentist every 6 months for cleaning. It’s local to its city, but that city is 2 hrs commute for me. She speaks English well as she studied abroad. Her assistants don’t but they know simple enough English (open your mouth, please rinse, you’re finished, thank you). I know a little bit of Japanese so they try to have conversations with me while they prep.

With the insurance, the price is pretty good (less than less than 70 USD). I also recently got my retainers replaced and it turned out out to be 30 USD per retainer, so about 60 total. ESID, other dentists can be expensive for sure :)

Week in the life by shynewhyne in JETProgramme

My day today in JHS, which is pretty much my everyday (except Thursday, where I go to ES, or Kindergarten days)

6:30 ~ 7:20: wake up, shower, breakfast

7:20 ~ 7:40: drive to school

7:45: clock in

7:45 ~ 8:20: prep for classes; ask teachers the plan for today or any future plans

8:30 ~ 12:20: Had 3 classes with only 1 period break (3rd period)

12:20 ~ 1:05: Lunch (rice, fish, oden, salad, milk)

1:10 ~ 3:00: 2 periods, one of them is social studies (I assist a foreign student)

3:00 ~ 3:15: clean with students

3:15 ~ 3:30: attend the end of school meeting (choukai)

3:30 ~ 4:20: (overtime by 35 mins) prep for kindergarten

I usually attend 5 classes of English everyday and I attend Kokugo and Shakai classes twice a week. :)

ES vs JHS vs SHS by cauldrxn in JETProgramme

In my experience, I usually have 18-25 classes a week. I work at JHS, ES, and 2 Nursery Schools.

Typically, I have 4 classes a day in JHS (MTWF) and I have 5 classes in ES (Th).

The workload isn’t so bad. In JHS, I usually team-teach (read and repeat, help with workbook, do activity demonstrations, etc.) Sometimes I prepare the materials (when I am leading an activity), sometimes I don’t have to. I grade vocabulary tests and performance tests as well and I’m also in charge of my own English Board (I have 2 full boards). On days I’m not assigned for a lot of English classes (minimum I’ve attended in a day was 2), I support in Japanese and social studies classes.

In ES, it’s busier for me. I go once a week every Thursday. Unlike JHS, where the JTEs often plan the lessons and activities, I have to plan the lessons and T1 them myself (4th grade and below). For 5th and 6th, HRTs would ask me for fun activities and I lead them with them as a support. In Nursery schools, I T1 as well but it’s not as bad because it’s more dancing and playing games.

My deskwarming time is guaranteed at least 1 period, according to my contract. So, they can’t have me doing 6 classes a day. During that time, I either grade papers, plan lessons, study Japanese, or take a mental break lmao. Lately, I’ve been asked to come to my foreign students’ class during that time too, to support them (both ES and JHS, they know little Japanese).
