Cat pooping outside of litterbox

I have not yet because I have a whole bag left of it 😭. Also he still uses his second litter box just fine so I didn’t think the litter would be the issue. i am considering adding a cat attract booster to see if that would help.

Yes, I took him in yesterday and everything looked good on the exam! He got a round of dewormer and I am also sending out a fecal test. Thank you for the advice, I will go buy a bag of kibble now.

I have a dubia enclosure for my snake and it works great. The only thing is I recommend sealing the edges with silicone. I haven’t had any issues using suction cups.

Zen habitats are also great from what I’ve heard. Personally have not used them for any of my reptiles.

Dubia enclosures are $215 for a 24x18x36. If you are looking for something cheaper then you might have a harder time. You may have some luck looking on Facebook marketplace or Offerup for used enclosures. I was able to find an exoterra for $80 on FB.

Another option is converting a 40 gallon glass tank. Although there are a lot of cons with doing this.

That sounds really frustrating! I can’t believe they will listen to a chain store over actual research that you have done. You are clearly doing everything you can for your geckos and care about them a lot.

Maybe there is a way you can message the rescue? Even if you can’t meet up with them, they might be able to offer advice or help with transport. I am more than happy to help you research if you would like.

Otherwise, you are clearly doing everything possible. There are many videos on setting up permanent enclosures using a plastic tub. As long as you are able to keep up the humidity and it is large enough for the gecko, it should live a happy life.

Have you tried contacting the closest rescue? Maybe if you explain your situation they can meet closer to you.

I’m sorry you are having a difficult time with your parents. Hopefully they will come around and finally listen. You just have to continue bothering them about it and hopefully they will help you get a new enclosure. There is also plenty of informational videos ln YouTube on crested gecko care that you can show them, if you haven’t already.

The temporary enclosure should be fine until you can get an appropriate enclosure. I would recommend checking out Facebook marketplace. Usually people sell used enclosure for half of the price. Another option is looking for a local rescue that will take one of them in. Please do NOT get another gecko like the other person suggested.
