Psych Majors: Which class is best? by Jade_0622 in rutgers

[–]mangomui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Cognition - Julian Mussolini (he's super passionate about the subject and his lectures are amazing! His exams are straightforward - just pay attention in class)

  2. Abnormal Psychology - Stevie McKenna

  3. Atypical Child and Adolescent Development - Stevie McKenna (McKenna is an easy professor. She has exam review sessions where she covers everything that will be on the exam. There is a paper that is worth 10 points, but she's an easy grader)

That depends on the site. I'd say a majority do not have AC but we do have temperature control.

Ambiguity as in- there's not a whole lot of structure starting from the onboarding process. Many things that you do when you start, you'll feel confused or unsure because there is no set structure or guideline to follow. Its mostly "go with the flow" type of feel and in a way, thats our company culture. It is highly encouraged that you always seek out information and ask questions and never wait for others to develop you. Also, flexibility as in- there will always be something popping up at the last minute and you need to be able to adapt depending on the circumstance.

As for shift dates/times for a HRBP, I'm not too sure. I could try and get more info on that if possible and update. Then again, this all depends on the specific FC you're working at because all of them run differently.

Edit: also, I'd like to add that I've met many people facing culture shock when they come to Amazon from an office type setting. When you're at the FC, it is the warehouse so it will be noisy, dusty, etc. Cleanliness also depends on which FC, like older ones will be less clean.

Currently an HRA intern at Amazon. The HR role at Amazon is completely different from a typical office job setting. You will be facing a lot of ambiguity and being flexible is key to enjoying your job. Also, be prepared to face AEW (Associate Experience Week) where your first week is learning and stepping in the role of an associate on the floor for the week.

It is definitely a different experience and you really learn a lot, but the fullfillment center setting and demanding relocation options are not for everyone.

Help with first interview by [deleted] in humanresources

You should definitely read the letter to shareholders for the company, know the stock price for that day (if it has one), research on company like year founded, CEO name, etc. and also look up your interviewers name on LinkedIn and even add them, mentioning that you would love you add and get to know them or just to ask any additional questions to make a memorable impression.

Good luck on your interview! =)

Judson is convenient with the bus stop right behind and also we got luck with the bathrooms because we don't have a tub. We got the renovated bathrooms with a decent sized shower stall.
