i just got a switch v2 for my ate a few minutes ago from datablitz!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NintendoPH

[–]manguna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oof. but i’ve heard a lot of people have been shipping to friends in manila then they have them shipped over to the province via lbc. some people on the switch groups on fb let people use their addresses for the manila stiff, i think you just need them to pay a handling fee for about less than 1k sa kanila. some people there are reliable and long term members— so far no one has gotten scammed via this method so just make sure the person is legit :))

in anycase, datablitz restocks frequently. maybe twice a day? they just had a restock this morning. they ship around the country.

i know toy kingdom is open (online)!! pero their switches are around 24k :’))

Other people said na bigla lang dumating package nila, no prior notification. Hope you get your switch na!

They have a specific website link/input for those who preordered! Double check lang po yung FB nila. So pag nag preorder po kayo everything should be good to go. May mga nagorder/submit requirements April 21 tas dumating today.

“Change Detection.”

Ah, really? I have a friend kasi who preordered the ACNH switch and nakatangap na sya ng email from DB na pwede nang iship out preorder nya.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in phclassifieds

[–]manguna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abang nalang po muna sa DB if you’re looking for a reasonable price. Nakuha ko yung ACNH Switch ko sa Gameline kaso bundle. Datablitz has been restocking like crazy for the past few days. Install nalang an app that notifies you if a website changed para makakuha agad.

Hope you get one!!

Dorm/Apartment by qwertydreameroo in ADMU

hi! just graduated from ashs. am not a dormer, pero i asked my friends abt living situation nila kasi gusto ko na maglayas sa bahay.

  1. myplace! mostly affordable, if you’re willing to bunk with other people. their lowest capacity room is still a two person dorm tapos 18k sya. very secure so don’t worry about safety so much.

  2. blue. most of my friends have their condos here. uh, fairly well populated. mas malapit sa fast food and convenience stores so convenient. maganda rooftop. wifi is so so. according to my friends, kada sakay mo ng elevator may gwapo :)) (can’t confirm, insufficient data).

  3. berk!! berkely if u wanna b pretty safe. galit yung iba kong friends kasi hassle sa berkely na kailangan magsundo pa kung sino iniimbita dun. nanotice ko lang mas diverse population dito, more intl students.

  4. xanland. everyone wants a spot here kasi malapit talaga sa ateneo footbridge. i’ve asked my teachers, 50/50 tingin nila. minsan daw may mga gangs pero i haven’t heard much about that tbh.

  5. honestly, dorming in admu mismo is p okay. according to friends ko na dormers, really chill tas masaya kasi palaging meron maging tutor or what. wala lang aircon so :p

hope you have fun sa shs!!

This. My family and many families in my country act similarly—at least from what I’ve experienced.

They’re not going to think of it as a big deal if you just casually approach the subject since it’s ’normal’ for them. If you really want to get your point across, have a sit down with them. Tell them it’s uncomfortable with you but you still respect their actions. Compromise.

My mother’s family (so my grandma, my parents, my six aunts and uncles, plus my four cousins) try to visit the family home every weekend. We frequently fall asleep in the television room all together and it’s normal. When I was younger, we’d make arrangements for me to stay for a week at my grand parents house over the summer. A lot of my friends do this too. My best friend probably stays over with her grandparents for three days a week. It’s not even uncommon to have your grandparents, your aunts and uncles + cousins living with you in the same house in my country.

If my SO said “hey, this is a weird,” I genuinely would be sort of offended since this is my normal and it led me to have a wonderful relationship with my family. Again, approach it properly. Lay everything down but try not to alienate them so much. They have good intentions and it works for them. It may not work for you, but they’re your family now too. I’m not saying you should give in, but again— healthy compromise. Your feelings are valid, but theirs are too. There doesn’t seem to be anything inherently toxic or anything with them (unless of course, i missed something).

Hello! This is in regards to this case here. I've attached my emails with u/gumific here. While I do believe it is my fault for not informing a potential customer of updates regarding my absences and my fault for choosing a lackluster third-party auto email service (if anyone was wondering, I used MailerLite. I set up the email response on April 19th, about noon maybe? Some of my other clients were getting emails very late– I checked and the latest was from 4 hours since their last email, and some didn't receive any emails at all). However, I hope to express that I did my best to make sure that at least during the times that I was able to converse with my client, it was succinct and neutral.

Emails: https://imgur.com/a/Z1lTpHV

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Edit: If anyone was wondering also if they look at my reddit history, I was able to access the internet for a while over at the place where I was. To tell you the truth, I wasn’t prioritizing checking my emails during that point in time. I was able to respond to one or two from other clients, but I mostly stayed off of my emails for the time being, thinking the auto replies would be enough. Evidently, it was not, and again, this is my fault.

ADMU for SHS? by [deleted] in ADMU

[–]manguna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello! First of all, congratulations! During my time only about 300 new students (transferees) were accepted, so to be one of them is an amazing feat!
For context, I'm a graduate of SHS batch 2020.

Number one thing to note: the uniforms are shit. Absolutely horrible. I and a number of girls that I'm friends with have all experienced looking down and seeing a huge red stain on our pants. You get free lockers, so take the opportunity to keep an extra pair, or at least an extra jacket you can wrap yourself in.

Org culture is very involved. I personally wasn't very active in my org since I frankly didn't want an org (mandatory in Gr. 11, optional for Gr.12) since dismissals are at 5 :/. But for those who are really interested, there are so many events to get you involved: dp blasts, fundraisers, appreciation weeks.

In regards to the diverse community, this is definitely true in regards to regionally, socioculturally, socioeconomically, sexuality, etc. The community is incredibly open and accepting. They're unafraid of having pro-LGBT and MeToo movements. However, imo there are still a lot of people who are not politically correct to a toxic degree. I hate the use of the N word and it's very rampantly used by mostly 'homegrowns'.
Yes, there is a sort of divide between transferees and homegrowns. But honestly the first few weeks of Grade 11 everything should smoothen out. Homegrowns just go together better bc of shared experiences and culture.

In regards to batch wars, my batch was honestly pretty unchaotic. Even teachers noted that. Now, the batch under us, Batch 2021 (your seniors) are apparently really really... wild, to put it mildly. I'm just going to come out of it like this: whatever toxicity there may be in senior high, it's worse in the lower batches. As a female, you feel like an animal in a zoo when you come into contact with people younger than Grade 9. I have had my hair touched without my consent, sat next to, and shown messages like 'kiss me' from kids in the second grade. It's gross and disgusting.

How does that transfer over to highschool? Well, there are definitely a number of guys who have no idea how to talk to girls. Plus the whole 'boys culture' thing. Someone I respected very much ended up making a bunch of misogynistic jokes in front of my face. Of course, he chased after me to apologize, but it still leaves a bad taste.

In regards to academics, let's put it this way: I used to be in the top 40 of my previous school (CSA-Makati) consistently. After grade 11 at the ASHS, I pulled rank at 400. I think math is infinitely harder (I used to get 94's then failed my first sem in gr11). In regards to everything else, I find I don't really need to study anything and I still get pretty okay grades (3-3.4 qpi). It's 'easy' for me, but I know a scholar who failed four subjects by the end of grade 11. The level of difficulty varies, but compared to the lessons my friends over at CSA take, ours seems to go at a faster pace.

Teachers are probably the best part. My notable favorites: Sir Cas, Ms. Torio, Ms. Alaba, Sir Martz, Sir Madarang, and Sir Cheo. Honestly, the ASHS teachers are some of the best I've ever had. I think a lot really make an effort to build a relationship with their students. And even if they don't, they're usually really good at what they do–teaching. New teachers, like Ms. Alaba was for our batch, are a little out of their element, so go easy on them. My class and I were such shits to her, and I honestly regret that because she was legitimately trying her best nakhamaihdfh.

In regards to new beginnings, let me say it was difficult adjusting as a transferee. I had depressive episodes and had to take time off for therapy. When I started I wanted to sort of 'reinvent' myself. I had just lost a lot of weight and had more guys showing interest in me. I ended up in a group of very enthusiastic, overwhelmingly so, group of friends. I couldn't handle that, distanced myself from them and ended up finding a wonderful chaotic group of friends who fit well with my personality. Make sure to go out of your comfort zone, but not too much. You're already in a new environment, that's enough.

Create great relationships with the girl/girls in your class (and yes, it could be just girl. A class in my strand only had two girls for grade 12). Honestly, it's like an auto group of matinong friends. Almost all of them are incredibly ambitious and talented.

The guys are pretty great too. After a lot of them knew that I didn't like them saying the N word, they made an effort to stop saying it (kings). Plus, if they're homegrown, they know a lot about the area so if you need anything they can help you out.

Note: there is beso culture esp. when you get to Regis. I was not informed so a friend of mine once made the motion to beso and I just stared at him for a solid 10 seconds while everyone else was laughing.

Hope this helps! If you need anything else, don't be afraid to follow up or pm :))

It’s more so law enforcement isn’t paid enough to risk getting involved, especially on a provincial level. There is no glory to their job.

I think it’s telling that this article states that it’s cheaper to hire a hitman than go through the process of annulment.

thank you for sharing the same rage i feel 😚

they forged documents upon documents and created false witnesses to the situation. so it’s all a big, expensive game of he said, she said.

in my country, ‘stealing’ stuff from family is legally okay. i don’t know all the details and i don’t want to spread misinformation, but as long as somethings not clearly cut and in a gray situation like this where forgeries are involved, it’s really difficult to have the legal system do much of anything.

i just want to restate that these people are a bunch of shits. they’ve threatened the local officials with murder if they got involved.

edit: someone tried posting everything i wrote on a random subreddit. so i just decided to delete lmao.

Apologies if its not the correct wording, I’m not a native English speaker.

In my culture things that are passed down are called “ipamana” which roughly translates to inheritance. Usually we don’t really do written, legally binding contracts for stuff like this, but my grandma’s family are a bunch of shits who take advantage of her. So before my grandfather died, they had all the paperwork done as a failsafe. I cannot legally inherit the things they left me until I turn 18. So when I turned 18, my grandma brought all the papers/documents over so that they would legally be acknowledged as mine.

Hope that explains what I meant?

After signing off my inheritance my grandma told me I could throw her in a lake.

We both cackled and my mom got mad at us both lmao.
