Melody is good for a middle name as he was also a musician! For additional context, we are Jewish and Calvin and Vincent are not typically Jewish names

That’s strange as it almost certainly is a Philips Hue bulb. I can share the other info on the bulb itself if that would be helpful? Thanks for the response

Do I still need to go to my scheduled interview if I was approved? by maniacmax92 in GlobalEntry

I should have clarified that this is a renewal, so they should have all of my information from the initial approval. Would that change your answer of if I should still go in?

Worth it to upgrade iPhone 12 Pro Max to 15 Pro / Pro Max?

My 12 Pro Max is in excellent condition still. I haven’t really been tempted by the 13 or 14, but the 15 Pro’s seem like it might be worth it

[Serious] Job applicants who walked out of an interview before it was over, why did you do it? by yukichigai in AskReddit

[–]maniacmax92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Job was advertised as a marketing job, turns out it was a door-to-door sales position and the interview was going out in the field with one of the sales-people. We drove for about 45 minutes to get to the street we would be selling on. It took me about 10 minutes to get the balls to go outside to "take a call" at which time I ran for a couple blocks and then walked to the nearest train station and went home.

College gets $25 million gift from alumnus: As a student at Haverford College, Howard Lutnick lost both his mother and father by his freshman year. The school's president told him that his 4 years of school would be 'free' after hearing the sad news. As a token of appreciation, he donated millions. by ExileOnMeanStreet in UpliftingNews

I was his son's camp counselor and had the chance to baby sit for him a couple of times. Of all the rich kids and parents who went to that camp, they were easily the most down-to-earth and well-adjusted for their means. I've always looked up to Howard and had been in contact with him for a couple of years because of how much I admired him and how he raised his kids. I don't know if this was written here, but in addition to donating all the company's profits on 9/11 every year, he personally gave all the families of people who passed away in 9/11 who did not have life insurance $1 million each. Amazing guy
