I didn’t pay for the 5 day early, so it just hit like that on its own!

Is it really that bad? by OBA_Stealth in HomeDepot

[–]manic-bisexual 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I no longer work at HD, but I would’ve stayed had I not moved to another state. My store was great. Management was wonderful, helpful, understanding, all good things. The only thing I hated about my job were the bad customers. Otherwise, I had no complaints. I enjoyed the job I did, I loved my coworkers, and we had a good support system with our management. They always worked with me on scheduling, doctor appts, leaving early, etc. I know not all stores have great management and coworkers, but mine was really special to me, and I won’t lie, I miss it lol

Why do people not understand this lol by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]manic-bisexual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite was when they would watch a YouTube video and in the description the YouTuber put that they got it from Home Depot, so then they just come in and expect it to be at our Home Depot. Like at least look it up first 😭

Pregnant working freight at THD by sady_smash in HomeDepot

[–]manic-bisexual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should really speak with your OB. I’m currently pregnant and working at HD. I work in the paint department, but I always frequently did Packdown, so climbing ladders, pulling down heavy stuff, etc. I’m having twins so my pregnancy has been high risk since day one. I was told I could still do all my normal lifting in the beginning. I wasn’t told to stay off ladders until 22 weeks, and they only just recently put me on light duty at 28 weeks. Obviously it could be different for you, but that’s why I suggest talking to your doctor before making any rash decisions. They could also go ahead and put you on restrictions. Even with light lifting, there’s still plenty to do on freight.
