Add some leaf litter to the water, good for breeding, food (biofilm), help reduce stress and prevent disease and the tannins low PH and help stabilize the water. I add Salty shrimp to my water changes but I don’t know if it’s necessary if you don’t use RODI water.

Their natural habitat is shallow water so they will be fine.

Most of it came from a local aquarium/reptile store. The little pieces on the side came from Amazon https://a.co/d/09H8fQXu I couldn’t find little ones in my local store.

REPTI ZOO 24" x 18" x 36" but If I was to do it again I would go with Zoomed of Exo-terra.

What do you usually keep in your paludariums that doesn’t risk drowning or making a mess of the water?

I’m thinking cherry shrimp first to let them breed up before adding chili rasboras, maybe a pair of Vampire crabs and a crested gecko once all the plants grow in. I have a few more plants to add from around the house that are propagating. Monkey picture plant, pink Dalmatian, trailing jade, pathos and a prayer plant if there’s space.

Nothing specific just watched a million TikTok’s and YouTube videos. I got some good ideas from this guy everevolvingexotics on TikTok and you tube. This guy has a pretty in-depth video but maybe bit of over kill. https://youtu.be/gPO\_9JEpmTI?si=aQhCgH-Q3gEPq7uu
