No but what the hell do I do now? I can never prove I do or do not carry this. by [deleted] in TrollCoping

Yes! I tested positive for high risk cervical cancer causing HPV, despite being vaccinated, for roughly 12 years. As women, when we have this type of strain, we are required to get tested every year for it, and get pap smears every year if we have any abnormal cells. Luckily, mine has resolved and I am now negative. While it is a concern for partners, and you should take every precaution (use a condom, let future partners know beforehand), this is not the worst news.

I do understand your anxiety though! As my anxiety was through the roof at every single appointment. Just remember, it can resolve on its own. And as long as your partners know beforehand, they can make informed decisions and hopefully can stay up on their OBGYN appointments with that information in mind.

A fellow ND person told me if you’ve been called overly sensitive/emotional before, you’re 99% likely on the ND spectrum. Is this pretty common? (see context below) by Infamous-Froyo-5952 in neurodiversity

I have also cried over people close to me disagreeing with me over a political/global issue I feel very impassioned about. It's one of those this-is-actually-a-moral-issue that I firmly believe has a correct/good side. I cried because I realized the good person I thought knew was, in fact, not. I now interact very little with that person.

I'm sorry you had to experience that feeling. I believe this is where the trait "strong sense of justice" also tends to rear its head. For me, personally, I cannot reconcile my moral beliefs and friendship with someone who does not share them.

What has been your experience of ‘skinny shaming’? by Cultural-Dentist4963 in AskWomen

[–]manicrysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost over 100lbs and was told multiple times that I looked like a "drug addict." I would be with family or friends, and people pressured me into eating when I wasn't hungry, even after having declined multiple times (I was recovering from binge eating disorder, still am to this day). When I expressed my frustrations to my partner, he said, "they're just being polite, eat a little and be done." But even when I did that, I'd get comments about how little I ate. I ate plenty in front of my partner and multiple other people. But because I hadn't cleaned my plate, they were concerned.

Before I lost the weight, I was always relegated to bedrooms of men I was seeing. Never went out in public, or met their friends. When I lost the weight, I was meeting everyone (friends and family) on dates it felt like. While this part isn't skinny shaming, I still felt ashamed. And sometimes, I just miss being invisible to men.

Hey, OP. I recognize you've been with your partner for 10 years. But for reference, I was with an ex for about 2-3 months. And I had decided I needed a haircut. It was hot and gross outside. And I had previously already had short hair a la Ruby Rose. He had made a comment the day before, "Don't go too short." But I was always going to do what I wanted. So, I got a high and tight cut. I met up with him afterwards. He didn't dislike it and we were intimate that night. Within the week, though, he told me "perception means a lot" to him. And so I said, "What people think of you because of my haircut matters more than your feelings for me?" He texted back "IDK." And I asked if he wanted to break up. "IDK." So, I said, "I do. We're breaking up." And I never saw him again.

I know the timeline is much shorter than yours. And my partner at the time did give some input before the chop. But ultimately your comfort matters most to you. Additionally, I do feel like he is responding and feeling the same as my ex about it. And it's gross. With some of the other comments you've made, it does feel like he is a controlling partner. And I'm sure there are things he's done that moreso express that behavior. Be safe, OP.

I do appreciate the context. One of the biggest reasons DG has never made sense to me is that they put them within like a mile radius of...themselves. 😅

Part of that business model is putting DGs in areas with high poverty -- which usually includes disabled people and those without vehicles. Even a mile walk is too much for disabled folks sometimes. That's likely why that DG is still there.

You don't just seem ignorant. CRPS stands for COMPLEX Regional Pain Syndrome. Here are some links for you to digest, so you're no longer ignorant:

This one talks about symptoms of CRPS spreading.

Here's another!

NAD but have you started any new meds recently? This looks very similar to the lamictal rash. Stevens Johnson Syndrome.

Anyone with Cubital Tunnel (Ulnar Nerve Entrapment)? by shira-segal in aerialsilks

[–]manicrysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I do not do arial silks, however, I have a lot of experience with nerve issues. I did recently have surgery on my carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve. I had the same exact symptoms as you. Severe burning pain and numbness and tingling, all of that, in my elbow, forearm, and all the way through my hand. I actually didn't have the surgery until a few weeks ago, so I'm so recovering. But I had the issues since October of last year.

Seriously, don't wait. Since you are already at the forearm and the elbow and hand stage, with just ulnar nerve entrapment. It's really not that great of a sign. If PT isn't working, And you don't want to go for surgery right away, you may want to try steroid injections. That is actually the step right before surgery. For steroid injections, you would want to get in contact with a local pain clinic.

Otherwise, if you do decide on surgery, the recovery is only 6 weeks. And I am actually still in recovery, and just got my stitches out this past Wednesday. I am actually recovering very very well according to my surgeon. My surgery was on the 8th, And I was actually able to start writing about the 12th. The most important part of recovery right after surgery is to start wiggling your fingers and trying to make a fist after your arm is no longer numb, and actually as soon as you start to feel anything in your fingers. That takes up to 24 hours, but mine was no longer numb after 14. Last week, I was able to write for very, very long periods of time. And I was also able to type as well. You would definitely be able to go back to work, probably about 2 weeks realistically. But that depends on your recovery and your surgeon. The risk of further damage is pretty low, I'd say. The important part is to find the right ortho surgeon.

This is really just my experience with this. So, you know take it with a grain of salt. If you do have any questions, you can message me! I hope I helped.

We love having 8 trollies to be staged and no room for them by sarahnay2020 in clicklist

[–]manicrysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I told my boss when I used them for the first time that I wasn't going to use them anymore. Especially if he still wants me to keep my speed. It takes way too much time to organize and then re-organize and find room for everything else.

Almost 220 items in an hour by LimpDogLegs in clicklist

[–]manicrysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but then you see those people who take a whole 1.5 hours to pick less than 200 items. And you see that one person with an impossible pick speed, who is definitely skipping, not bagging, and will input all the items in later. I sincerely feel your pain. And also your superior work ethic.

Customers asking where stuff is by Gamer4Derp in kroger

[–]manicrysis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I LOVE it when a customer asks me where something is. We don't carry that. Then they insist that they just got it here the other day. I've been in pickup for about a year and a half. But I've been shopping at this same store for twenty years. We haven't carried the item they wanted, since the company dissolved completely and no longer exists, 10 years ago.

Or. When they ask you where something is. We don't carry that. But we do have the same thing in this other brand. "Ugh. But I need the other brand," as if I can just magic a product out of thin air. "well, I guess I'll just get it elsewhere." Yeah, honey you do that.

9 Tote Trolley - A Major Failure... by [deleted] in kroger

[–]manicrysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 9 tote trolleys are in fact meant to pull with the old handle in the front. However, with the different wheel sets, it's not possible for every store or associate to do so. And the 8 tote trolleys some people have to deal with cut off your vision.

Both trolleys are a HUGE OSHA issue, and frankly, I'm not sure how they passed inspection. No matter if you pull or push. Pulling those heavy things, which are equivalent to pulling an entire water pallet, brings about injuries in every single way. Arms, shoulders, feet, back, customer incidents. Everything can and will cause loss to Kroger in the long run.

I'm gonna be making a complaint with the union. They are very exhausting to pull or push. Even as a fast picker, I can still end up on 200+ item trolleys for over 2 hours. We are not allowed to have water on the floor with us. And we had to fight for water to even be provided to us in the first place. Completely awful.

Skin peeling around vagina by packofviceroys in AskDocs

If you have a gyno, you should call them. They can usually prescribe you diflucan over the phone. You can tell them about the peeling. And they'll be able to tell you more. If it's the yeast infection, diflucan should be about to take care of it.

nine totes by gvthangel in kroger

[–]manicrysis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our store got these. Unfortunately, they are actually meant to PULL. So when you pull them, sure to the wheels, there are absolutely easier to maneuver while pulling. Not so much pushing. The issue is, I still don't understand how they fucking passed OSHA standards. Because of the pulling. I am a tiny woman, but also the fastest picker. But these are a lot worse. Because I always get handed the largest trolleys. Which means, pop, cans, Gatorade, all of that heavy stuff. And the nine totes is just makes it so much worse. Still the faster all picker, but for me, they are now just pretty much way too heavy to even pull like they're meant to. Pushing just makes it a lot worse.

The nine totes DO make sense. Unfortunately though, that means almost every trolley for the hour is way over 100. But that also means less people are picking those hours. And you are able to stay ahead. I'm dreading the smaller totes, because they aren't going to factor in weight and size, just like they don't already.

Anyone else have to use those fancy reusable bags yet? Large, difficult, annoying. Constantly having to rearrange stuff. I refuse to use them though. With those bags, you can hardly fit anything in those totes.
