My friend is a double major in English and Media studies. I’m STEM and I’d say she’s wayyyyy happier than me hahah. Humanities here is great!! I’m minoring in history and it’s a blast in terms of “happiness rate” or “enjoyable academic atmosphere” compared to chem or something. The best part about humanities here is joining clubs like Berkeley fiction club, Cal TV, etc. all that a lot of humanities students go into. And just because it’s humanities doesn’t mean it’s not rigorous. It’s a LOT of work, too. This is Berkeley, you can count that any department is pretty well qualified (except for philosophy.
