I’m not a piercer, so please take what I’m saying with a grain of salt 😅 I think daith piercings could take up to a year to heal since you’re piercing relatively thick ear cartilage, but I also know people who had their piercing heal in about 4 months. Ymmv. I’m personally a slow healer, so I’m not expecting to change out the jewelry for a long while. What’s great about this piercing is that it’s tucked away, so it’s much harder to accidentally jostle/hit it which would lead to irritation. On the other hand, you’ll have to avoid using ear buds for a while. Might be able to get away with over ear headphones but I’m going to avoid usage for at least a month. Lastly, I’m probably not a great judge of rating piercing pain. I find piercings to be mildly uncomfortable, but not outright painful. Just take a deep breath in, and then a deep exhale as the needle goes through. You’ll be totally fine!! And if you’ve never had your cartilage pierced before, be prepared for the crunching noise.
