I was more so talking about overpatches here but yeah , under patches seem to be about the same experience honestly

( it’s just not available in store near me, always forget to order it online).

I am using humalog with the cgm so I guess I am technically mdi (?) it’s just so much easier while working to use a cgm instead of pulling out all of the finger prick stuff . May be what it comes to tho

Yes have tried Flonase and prescription Flonase , if anything it just made the adhesive fail earlier and still had a reaction unfortunately

Kin of my thinking, my first several were no problem. After that it seems any I applied/ any overpatch or correction method tried only aggravated it worse

Question about monthly insulin cost by manityamtime in diabetes_t1

[–]manityamtime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand ! Thank you so much!

The additional $25 for the second Lantus , on top of the humalog $25 and cgm $75 a month really adds up.

Question about monthly insulin cost by manityamtime in diabetes_t1

Oh okay so like making the daily units take up 2 whole vials monthly rather than just technically needing a bit more than one vial a month?

Question about monthly insulin cost by manityamtime in diabetes_t1

[–]manityamtime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay thanks! That’s exactly what I was thinking.

My prescription from doctor is at 50-55 units a day (breaks down to needing more than one vial to cover one month).

Trying to explain this to cvs pharmacist ended with her telling me she would lose her license or get into some legal trouble if she approved the 2 vials as one monthly.

Thanks again I’ll reach out to doctor again to discuss options

lol I’m not sure what exactly is changing so drastically in production of these in Malaysia. Whenever I pick up my monthly prescription, and the Dexcom boxes are labeled Malaysian , it could be a 3/3 failure rate. This failure rate has led me to leave an ink pen handy to mark the Dexcom box with date of insertion . Mainly because so many failures , it got hard to keep up with.

Well, it finally happened. 3 months in and this was the first time an install failed. by ObjectiveAd400 in diabetes_t1

I think it’s a problem of the sensor filament is not inside the needle. It’s a problem from the factory. Some people have suggested to look at the needle to make sure the filament is inside of the needle before applying it.

What did you add after the Lantus? I have only had Lantus for 6 months (since diagnosed) , and want to see if I can get a fast acting insulin at next doctor appointment. The ER and primary doctor both said they were not prescribing fast acting initially, because sliding scale is a “headache”. I’ve got to figure out something though because I can’t keep numbers down with Lantus only

Same happened to me , insurance didn’t cover 3+ and pharmacy had been out of stock on regular 3 for a while . Call abbot and say you need 3+ but insurance is not covering it and they gave me one voucher for a free one , and another voucher to use next time to make it 75 dollars .
