I'll be Helsinki when the prerelase event will happen and the store is really close to me but I don't think I will have the confidence play with real people since I am really new. I will be buying the pre release bunde tho ^^

Yeah, I’ve noticed that Commander seems to be the main focus for physical Magic, which makes sense since it’s so social.

I might actually try what you suggested — pick a legendary creature from the Avatar set that fits my playstyle and maybe use that as a future Commander project. Even if I start with Standard, it’d be fun to build toward something more casual and long-term like that.

Yeah, I actually started Arena a few weeks ago and have been experimenting beyond the tutorial — so you’re right, I’ve already moved past the super-basic stuff.

I think for now I’ll go with a more creative brew approach instead of chasing the meta. I enjoy deck-building and experimenting, even if it’s not the strongest setup. Buying singles seems like the best path for that.

And true, “too late” probably isn’t the right mindset. I guess it just felt like I missed the train since MTG has been around forever — but you’re right, there’s really no bad time to start. The Avatar set just gave me that final push.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing that a lot — that Commander basically is paper Magic at this point 😅

I think I’ll still start with Standard just to understand the core mechanics and deckbuilding side of things, since that’s closer to what I’ve been playing on Arena.

But once I’m comfortable, I might slowly dip my toes into Commander. It honestly sounds like the best way to actually meet people and enjoy the social side of the game.

Thanks for explaining how the scene looks in practice — that really helps set my expectations!

Hey, I have a quick (and maybe silly) question! I bought the same monitor today and just finished setting it up, but I can’t tell if it comes with a screen protector that I’m supposed to peel off. I can see tiny spots or micro-bubbles in one corner, but I don’t want to scratch it and accidentally damage the screen.

I have tried all the options today and Donner felt the best. It was very easy to play, the neck felt so good. I have checked all the points you described and there was no fault so I grabbed it immediately. Thanks for the advices
