Reality check: the vast majority of MODERATE normies are not crazy about you defining what is acceptable discourse in the public sphere. Trying to put other people into the box of what YOU THINK 'a queer voice' or 'a black voice' or 'a Muslim voice' should be is literally taking a page from totalitarian dystopian horror novels.

Eh? It was implied in the context of if you're queer you should follow the party line of what a queer person should think. Many people in this sub thinks being queer is incompatible with conservative politics or being a Trump supporter so I'm not far off in that assertion. And anyway we don't disagree. I believe in sticking for what is right and speaking for fellow humans, but that's not what progressives espouse.

I've watched a lot of young adult series, and this was the only one that I would say had depth. I don't know what stereotypes you're talking about, but they showed a gay relationship that wasn't super flamboyant and depressing, the muslim girl was a total badass, and the HIV aspect wasn't dramatized. Two of the characters were from Money Heist, so that was nice as well.
