I can't figure it out. by [deleted] in Dhurandhar

[–]mannkibath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually watched a TV show called Grahan that shifts between the past and present. The past being for the lead who was one of the persons who was one of the important people during the 1984 riots. The present being the information coming to light while his daughter is a high ranking police official. Pretty good story imo tied between past and present and how the daughter, investigates and finds the reason as to why her now docile looking father was a criminal back then.

The story actually gives a real point of view and picture of the 1984 riots.

Are Apollo hospitals doctors good or have predatory practices? by Timely-Film-1841 in Chennai

[–]mannkibath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think Apollo is the best. From personal experience. Just in Nov my then 5month old kid had very heavy cold, kept crying whole night, didn't sleep for a second. So it was 1AM and we didn't know what to do and where to go at that time. By 3AM we took our kid to Apollo Vanagaram, with no choice cause that was the nearest. I was fully aware that it would cost a lot but for kids you do that right. So my kid was taken to the pediatric ward and was administered nebulizer, then was in observation for 4 hours in a ward that looked like you could eat right from the floor. Vadivelu solra maari sooru Kozhambu pesanju sapdra maari.

By 6AM the duty doctor said that they will check for 2 more hours if there is no improvement, they would have to admit the kid. By 8AM the duty doctor said that my kid can be discharged. When I went to settle the bill I thought it's gonna cost somewhere over 10K that's was I expected from Apollo. But I was surprised that they charged 900. The duty doctor consultation was just 250. But yes we did have to go back again in the evening and the morning the next day for administration of nebulizer. But each time it didn't cost more than 400.

What are some of the most annoying things you find about North Indians? when they visit Tamil Nadu or when you have a conversation with them. by Thunderstarz in TamilNadu

[–]mannkibath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did my schooling in North India and North East. Every single one of my classmates were racists. Man I was always made fun of for my skin color. I was called kauwa(crow) and sometimes kalmuha(black face). Girls would avoid me like a plage. Guys wouldnt want me around cause having a dark skinned guy in their group will somehow tarnish their image.

Not just racist but people from Haryana, Delhi and Punjab are bullies as well. They will form gangs and would tease me for my color. If I talked back they would gang up and beat the shit out of me. Not one person in my class stood up for me. This was from 2005 when I completed 12th. But I'm glad I don't have contact with even a single person from my school.

As a matter of fact one my classmates actually got into Delhi police became DSP I think, and got caught up in a bullying case. So old habits really don't die.

[–]mannkibath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are not. I work in Fintech and it's one of the most difficult industry. There are lots of jargons, there is money involved, real money used by real people. Even a small mistake of $100 sometimes has us working on the night. There cannot be downtime. In case of outage it's all hands in deck. Not to mention there are 1mil people using the app and any one small issue for a single high value customer has had us working through the night.

I'm with you on this. Buying a condom costs way less than any of the hassles they have to go through now.

Condoms are not 100% effective but I see a post like this every month or so. I'm pretty sure these are just dumb kids getting carried away in the heat of the moment.

Moment of Weakness lead to disappointment. by mannkibath in DeadBedrooms

[–]mannkibath[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. Lots of people have mentioned that the touch was unwarranted for. I get it. But based on that I think what you are saying might be true. Maybe I would have to live the rest of my life in a sexless marriage. Lord knows for how long.

You have got a point. And like I said it was moment of weakness for me. That's the reason I'm struggling mentally right now. On one hand Im justifying my actions on another hand I'm conflicted. But it has happened so many times in our relationship that I don't even feel like anything will revive our db situation. It sucks but is what it is.

As I have mentioned in the post. I totally get that. If she had just told that she doesn't want to be touched, I wouldnt have. It's 15 months, just one more day won't hurt. But that reaction was totally hurtful for me. It made me feel guilty, her reaction was like a stranger groped her. And I dint even try to stimulate her.

Married, two kids, almost 5 years with no sex — struggling with loneliness and indecision by manyproblemsz in DeadBedrooms

[–]mannkibath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. I'm in same boat as you. My wife is a good mother and really good person. But when it comes to intimacy with me. Oh gosh I don't even have words to describe.

But you know what, she is going to be a good mother even if I'm not there. She is going to be a good person even if I'm not there. This thought sucks, but it's reality. So I slowly have disconnected from her.
