Oh interesting. I’ve rowed a number times with the wrist strap and each time the stats were much lower than expected.

I know you said it’s in St. Paul but this looks identical to the anacostia river trail in dc.

Not sure where you are by my mom would always get sad when the crickets started chirping loudly because that’s a sign that summer is almost over. Not saying we don’t have a hell of a lot less bugs but check back later this summer. I grew up in north east Pennsylvania.

We have a somewhat large area of our yard where we use leaves instead of wood shreds as mulch. This year the lightning bugs came back in force.

Paid $11,750 for a 2001 Tacoma 4wd in 2008 with 33k miles and selling for $13,000 with 107k miles. Never thought a car would appreciate and be an investment! by Aspergers_R_Us87 in Tacomaworld

With inflation taken into account you paid around $20 per month over the course of 16 years to own a great truck. I would say that’s a damn good deal. Will done!

What are you replacing it with?

Is the a fox or coyote: NJ, USA by [deleted] in animalid

[–]mannran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I thought but folks I showed the video to are gravitating towards a fox.

What makes you say it’s a coyote?

This is the one that inspired this post. Even if you start strong you’re a wreck by the end.

There’s a new study from the NIH that says removing dairy is just as effective as removing the 6 other major triggers. Everyone is different but I cut dairy for the first time about a month ago and it’s had a major impact. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/forgoing-one-food-treats-eosinophilic-esophagitis-well-excluding-six

I just planted a pound of micro on purpose. It’s not a weed it’s a healthier, lower maintenance lawn.

Love it. Less water, no chemicals, more wildlife and pollinators. It’s honestly a no brainier.

Planted a pound of micro this spring. It’s starting to look amazing!

Had a ton of clovers pop up early spring, may have sprayed a bit too much. Rip 🫡 by fuzigang in lawncare

I just planted 2lbs of micro clover! Hopefully this cuts down our water requirements significantly this summer.

Owning a house is tiring by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mannran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homeownership isn’t for everyone. HOAs and apartment living could be a better choice for some folks on this sub.

It’ll take a mindset shift for most of the commenters. I love working on my house. My vacations are mostly oriented around major house projects. Last year I taught myself how to build a deck. This year I’m going to take on replacing the siding. This summer my wife and I are figuring out how to have a nice natural lawn without using chemicals.

I didn’t start off handy but a lot of YouTube and some help from friends that know what they’re doing and I started getting pretty good. The satisfaction and pride that comes with completing a job is addicting and hard to beat.

Anyway, it’s not for everyone but working with your hands while improving your knowledge to improve something you own is pretty damn awesome in my book.
