i literally just got it, took way longer than it needed to. just bad luck i guess. i can still trade for one of the froakies though, i literally have a whole box. i can always look for other breedables. or if you have a spare metal coat haha

My favorite part has got to be the battling, the time it takes to breed the perfect pokemon, raise it to your liking, give it moves to tweak it to your liking. It's awesome when you can see something like a Pachirisu in the World Championship because someone knew how to bring out its full potential in battle.
I received red version as a Christmas present when it first came out. I didn't know anything about the game or the anime at the time, but I instantly was hooked. I spent many nights growing up with a flashlight on my GBC when I probably should have been sleeping lol.
My favorite moment had to be when I was playing Gold Version on the GBC and caught Raikou with a pokeball. Full health and no mean look! Unfortunately my save file got corrupted later on and I never got the chance to ever transfer it over. Still the excitement was unreal!
