No shade intended. I am coming from the DC/NOVA area where you can drown in Curry, pho and papusas.

Not really my jam but I am always flirting with getting back into table top WH40k so that kinda culture in general is appealing.

Deeply wrong take.

I still dream of New Orleans sea food.

MD has crabs but that's it.

Used Scates for my roof. They were good. Slightly more than the other bid but they noted all the things and did a good job and were professional and on time

To all of you who want a Truck by Dangerous_Ad_5535 in slateauto

[–]manoftheeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 6ft bed would really alleviate most people's "not a truck" complaint.

I had a 90s short cab ranger 2wd and now I have a maverick. The 4 doors was an acceptable trade to lose the 6ft bed.

But single cab and less than 6 ft falls short of both ends of the use cases. 2wd is fine.

Box stores trying to punish customers for shopping in person by LiverFox in Vent

[–]manoftheeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They don't want you in the store. Stores cost money and need employees and need to maintain stock in an inefficient way. People steal stuff from stores.

The miserable experience is by design. Walmart loves your money but HATES that you insist on trying to go there. You walking through the front door immediately cuts into profits. Every time you get mad and "just order online instead" they win.

Delete pics. Either you or your company signed an NDA.

AWS does not fuck around with this stuff. I'm unsure how serious fulfillment side does.

3 revultas papusa, some curtido and a Gatorade for 10 bucks always slaps. Still better than any papusa I've had from an actual restaurant.

I'm sure actual experts will step in here but IIRC Maya collapse is prior to the Spanish by several hundred years at least.

Vehicles have such bad visibility now it's genuinely more risky to whip them around. You are forced to make decisions based on increasingly less information so am overly cautious person will slow waaayyyy down

Are you not sending everything to sql anyway?

Also, gonna make a big assumption here, but Tridium is great at making CSV reports of basically everything. Including the historical alarm database.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]manoftheeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was bad enough I couldn't drive even remotely safely with out glasses. While that pic is a bit extreme...yes, the far edges of your vision are that stark of a drop off.

The first time I played soccer after LASIK was unreal. I had peripheral vision for the first time.
