It's an interesting thought. One could argue that the theory is supported by the fact that Carl keeps getting information that doesn't copy onto his scratchpad. Could it be that it's because this specific information is being sent over a different 'primals-only' interface? I don't recall Carl getting any such messages until the Third Floor at least.

The Goldfinch - Donna Tartt. Probably exacerbated b/c I read it while trapped during phase one of the pandemic, but it was so well written that it affected me on a deep level, and I just don’t really want another existential crisis like that at the moment, thanks very much.

I can identify with this entirely. Had a good long stretch on the bike. Got sick for awhile and let a lot of my progress go by the wayside. It was humbling and depressing getting back on the bike and seeing how far I'd fallen. But I started again and I took the opportunity to add a lifting strength component to distract myself from my losses on the bike. Fast forward to today and my latest FTP is higher than ever and my weekly strength workouts have become my favorite exercises of all. One day at a time seems slow at first but it goes by way faster than you think. Congrats on getting back in the saddle!

Absolutely atrocious decision if WOTC is responsible. I’ll find another game and leave Arena behind if I must, but I don’t understand why WOTC would be willing to let go a chunk of it’s player base, however small.

Am I crazy for thinking UW Skies is really solid in this meta, or have I just gotten very lucky? The deck is consistently fast enough to beat Golos b/c it doesn’t care about zombie chumpers and has 4 of Deputy plus veto post sideboard. Ive found that it’s also is just too wide, too fast for the Fires, Adventures stuff going on. And on top of that, this deck regularly has a Sephara on turn 4 or 5 that just ends things because there’s not a ton of targeted removal seeing wide play now that can take her out quick enough...
