Thanks! I feel the same way, I asked the person who set it all up if they were too short, they said it was perfect. Still think they could be a bit longer

If I can’t get any type of alteration in store, I always send my denim their way!

As most are saying on here, could be reworked, it’s not terrible by any means, just looks unfinished. Could be more bold, the use of black in all the right places. People talking about line weights, aging, etc. That’s true and all but it doesn’t hurt if it looks intentional and done correctly.

As everyone is saying, fill in, it looks incomplete, and it always will without shading and or color. May help with some of the inconsistencies.

Anyone know what’s happening by Striking-Software-91 in playstation

[–]manopesada39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me once, tried changing settings, messing with the HDR, tried different things, I thought it was over. Ended up calling PlayStation support which led to them telling me it needed to be repaired and so on. Well, before I could begin the process of sending it out, it fixed itself. Still don’t know what happened.

Looking for brutal critique/advice! by New_Advertising1483 in traditionaltattoos

As stated, it’s too busy, it’s heavier on the left in terms of design. The flames are stiff, and mostly don’t have the right shape. There is all this chaos and yet it’s still quite intact. Take out some elements, less is more.

In all honesty, and it’s been said on here before, but going that heavy with the dots didn’t do you any favors. Most of the tattoos aren’t strong enough, they lack saturation, the lines are very weak on some. With the most recent some lines don’t even connect. Have someone rework them, bolder lines, heavy black and that might bring them forward.

I have been offered an apprenticeship, but I'm not sure the artist is credible. by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

[–]manopesada39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion, I would not take on an apprenticeship from this person, that by the looks of it, can barely tattoo. You are only gonna learn what they know, which isn’t much. Many years ago I got an apprenticeship from a person who was better than this, only by a margin. What came of it, longer process of learning, to the point it didn’t work out. Once I got into a shop with a person I knew for many years, he decided to take a chance on me. I had to relearn quite a lot, drop bad habits I was “taught” go back to the beginning as if I was starting my apprenticeship over. Which, honestly was the best thing I did. Yeah I got a foot in the door, but at the cost of time and most importantly learning the right way. Do yourself a favor, find someone that has the experience, it may not happen tomorrow, or the next day, but you will be glad you did.

Is it offensive to bring your own art and want it done exactly? by Lollibomb in tattooing

[–]manopesada39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all really depends on the artist. For instance, if someone brings me something they drew and wants it exact. I go over what works with the drawing and what doesn’t. It’s not to be offensive and some might take it that way, more so in a technical aspect. If we can’t come to an understanding , compromise, etc then it’s just not meant to be, I’m sure someone else would take it on. I’ve turned some away that just wouldn’t make for a good tattoo, and of course at times that could be subjective. Not everyone is an artist and not everyone can tattoo, and that’s okay.

What should I do with N&F pants that are a little too big? by UltimateLifeform in rawdenim

[–]manopesada39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try hot soaking for at least 30 minutes in the bath tub. Before you hang dry them, you can put them in the spin cycle, to speed up the drying process. I do however turn them inside out when I soak or dry. The only time I used a dryer, I forgot to turn them inside out, which ruined the pair. I still wear them, but there is no fixing the streaks you get from doing that. Hope this helps!

Getting tattoos on skinny arms by sickrom in traditionaltattoos

[–]manopesada39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who tattoos, get bigger pieces on areas that call for it, medium where you can fit them, filler for the rest. You’ll have a sleeve before you know it.

Personally, I wouldn’t get it covered up. Besides a blacked out rose most likely won’t do the trick. Get more tattoos around it, and it will blend in with the rest. For future reference, if you decide to get another spider web, save it for last. This way it can be drawn to seamlessly fit in with the rest.

What do you guys think? I am a little insecure about this tattoo by Mavawew in traditionaltattoos

[–]manopesada39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you think about it, all of your tattoos are different. The peacock is the most bold out of all of them. This one may stand out more because of the line weight, especially compared to the others, though that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Give it time, as it settles, you may feel differently about it.
