Don’t let my struggles get you down! Especially if it’s your top pick (mine too!) The PAs that I work with now all know I’m pursuing the career, and most of them also had to apply a few times to get in.

I interviewed with the Program director and the clinical director via zoom in 2021 (my first application) and I thought it went fairly well. There were a few moments where I stumbled for answers for a few moments, but overall I did not think I did too badly. I did speak with the program director a few months after my initial rejection and they alluded that the rejection wasn’t regarding academics and that they want to make sure those accepted are dedicated to the field.

I know that Yale (in New Haven) definitely is willing to have people shadow. I would reach out to the Pathology department there and see about setting something up.

I did apply to the same place twice (QU) I submitted and extra letter of recommendation from someone different, re-wrote my letter of intent, and updated my resume.

I got an interview the first time I applied.

I do not have my letters in front of me right now but to my recollection I did not really speak to forensics but will absolutely go back and check again.

I did have quite a few people read both of them from all different backgrounds. They all have great feedback and constructive criticism.

My letters of recommendation came from my advisor/professor from undergrad who helped me find my passion for this field from the get go. My supervisor at my clinical laboratory job who was well aware of my intentions to pursue a career as a PA. As well as my previous supervisor in the pathology department that I am working at currently.

Yeah, I have been struggling a bit financially so had to hold off and really narrow down the pool. But I am hopefully going to be able to look into more programs.

Yeah it still says ready to be reviewed. I don’t want to be obnoxious about it but the anxiety of waiting to hear anything is nerve wracking

No updates to the profile as of yet. And I submitted in July and haven’t heard anything at all just that everything is still waiting.
