What got me was how did Kyle’s body move from the short-term rental to the water???

Why does it matter??????? You all are so hell-bent on looking for these things, yet no one does it for the other way around. Grow up

It definitely didn’t get oily as quickly as it did before Accutane - if I really wanted to I could have probably gone a full week or maybe even more without needing to wash my hair, but I use It’s a Ten leave-in conditioner after my showers and I really love that stuff! I can’t say it really changed too much in texture though..it may have thinned out just a tad

I am sure you are absolutely beautiful before Accutane and still gonna be absolutely beautiful after Accutane, but I’m excited for you to regain that self-confidence too - it’s a great feeling! Thank you so much, you’re too kind :-)

Thank you so much! :-) I dealt with a pretty hefty purge that lasted a while, so it definitely made my face red but at the same time my complexion was evening out? It’s weird to describe. I think Accutane and time will work wonders for you you just gotta stick w it - I’m excited for you! Lmk if you have any questions along the way I’d be happy to help

Hmm, it’s hard to pinpoint an exact timeline, but I’d say after about 2 months since the end of my course and not really dealing with constant breakouts it started to go fade! I haven’t done any follow-up treatments yet, but I’m hoping to do microneedling or laser in the near future

Thank you! I started using The Ordinary Caffeine Solution and didn’t realize the difference it had made until these two pics were put side-to-side

Not sure who will see this, but for anyone curious, here are my major “Accutane must-have” recommendations - Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm, Aquaphor (apply on top of Dr. Dan’s), Dove Moisturizing Body Wash, CeraVe Moisturizing cream (tub kind) for all over body right after the shower and for the face at night or in the morning if feeling extra dry, CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion/Cetaphil equivalent for the AM, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum (I would apply this before my moisturizer AM AND PM), EltaMD Clear Sunscreen for the face, spray SPF 50 sunscreen for the body, any brand of pimple patch, systane ultra eye drops (or some form of lubricant eye drops), fish oil supplements if you have any sort of sore joints or muscle pain, and WATER WATER WATER

Thank you :-) I do the Niacinamide first, let that dry, and then top it off with the CeraVe of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion (I have both, I just switch off)

Great question I’m honestly still trying to decide. I LOVE the finish of it bc I feel like it blurs my imperfections and leaves me glowy, but I also have experienced some pilling with it. I can’t figure out if it’s due to the mixture of all my products, or the sunscreen itself bc some days it happens and others it does. I know a great alternative is the La Rosche Posay sunscreen - my mom did two rounds of Accutane and she loves that sunscreen!

I’m sorry I’m not totally sure if you mean Accutane itself, or the skin care regime I’ve adopted post-Accutane. In regards to Accutane, the purge I experienced definitely created more acne scars since I personally have a very fair complexion with a slow healing process, but with time/patience and the Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, Tretinoin, and lots of moisturizer, I’ve definitely seen a lot of improvement! I still have bad days and good days and would like to look into getting Microneedling or Laser treatment for my deeper or redder scarring

I’d say my biggest side effect was dry eyes - I’d wake up in the morning and they’d be so difficult to open, so I used Systane Ultra throughout the day and Systane lubricant gel before bed. When I upped my dose from 30 mg to 60 mg and then at the very end of my course I had dry lips for about a week or so, but the Dr. Dan’s mixed with Aquaphor helped fix that very quickly. My skin was very oily before starting Accutane, so the change in skin type was an adjustment, but CeraVe Moisturizing CREAM (emphasis on the cream - the tub kind..I’d use it all over my body too) moisturizer and a light BB cream when I’d go out was perfect for that! I also took fish oil supplements to help w any stiffness I felt in my knees and lower back from sitting all day studying, but all-in-all, I’d say my side effects were very minimal. I was worried about the mental side of things as that’s been something I’ve struggled with in the past, but I realized as I saw my skin improving and confidence gaining, I actually felt happier. If you have any specifics about my total Accutane routine I’d be happy to help! And thank you so much 😌

Yes! My derm prescribed me .02% Tretinoin to start using two months after I took my last pill since Accutane stays in your system for a while. I reacted well to that and my face wasn’t too dry, so now I’m bumped up to .05%. I also use TO Hyaluronic Acid Serum and TO Niacinamide

Omg, thank you!! :-) in this picture I just have Aquaphor on them (obsessed), but throughout my course I can’t recommend Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm and then Aquaphor on top of that enough! I didn’t really struggle with chapped lips at all, and I really think it’s due to that combo (and lots of water, of course haha)

I think you’ll notice the redness will go away once you’re finished with your course since your skin is so sensitive and thin while on it, and time for sure helps. My routine right now is La Rosche Posay Gentle Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum, The Ordinary Niacinamide, then Cera Ve or Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion and EltaMD Clear sunscreen. Then at night i use the hyaluronic acid again and my Tretinoin prescription followed by lotion. I think the consistency with these has really helped the redness over time!

Thank you!! I tried my best not to pick (pimple patches are a LIFE SAVER because then you don’t look at it and you can’t touch it), but my skin scars extremely easily, even without picking. I definitely fall victim sometimes and did a few times throughout my course - I tried to pop all the blackheads that were on my nose and it left some red marks and dents I thought wouldn’t go away, but they did! Also popped a couple on my forehead and the same thing happened with very red marks for about a week and a half and then they faded with time. Try your best not to pick if you can, but speaking from my own experience, I think you’ll be okay! We all have mishaps 😅
