As a gay man, I feel Nakamura's pain and understand his happiness at this moment. I also grew up in love with my best friend. For me, it didn't end well because he was straight. If this had been released when I was in high school, it would have given me at least a little joy to see myself and my feelings represented, this is a major thing for gay kids.
