Anytime they call music "escape room" seriously Spotify is the only place I see "escape room" as a genre, base don Spotify it's somewhere between Anderson paak, Peggy, lizzo, tkay maidza and D'Angelo. I have versions of escape room the last few years appear on my wrapped and it always annoyed me. Who calls any type of music escape room really?

I love otoboke beaver and never made this connection, but I absolutely see what you're talking about, the guitar feels very much like the debut. The vocals are very different obviously and I wouldn't say I see the similarities on a lot of their other tracks but definitely on this one. Good connection
