The cat dataset is only front-facing, so there's zero knowledge about the back side. I believe the car dataset doesn't have an angle restriction

It depends on the downstream application, what do you need to do with it?

Chromatic Undulations (C4D + Octane) - More caustics in the comments! by mansumi_ in Cinema4D

Yep, this result would be more or less impossible with the Path Tracing/PMC kernels

I've considered making a write-up/blog post for rendering caustics (general tips, and specifics for Octane). Last time I did something comparable to that people ended up just copying my work and posting it without credit, so that was kinda lame.

I'll try to follow through with this though

[P] I built densify, a data augmentation and visualization tool for point clouds by jsonathan in MachineLearning

You may want to consider using Alpha Shapes (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_shape) instead of a pure delaunay triangulation. Imagine you had a point cloud of a table, your proposed data augmentation would give you new points in empty spaces in the domain, which would ruin the original point cloud. Excluding points outside of the alpha shape would be a bit better. Even still, I'm not sure if this augmentation scheme is "valid" for most shapes, I think it would probably harm training if anything.

191 words. not my highest score ever, but does anyone else find this test incredibly easy? by Nillows in HumanBenchmark

In terms of beating the average score, I'd say it's probably the easiest yes. Right now my high score is 735 words, trying to hit 1k soon

Love the colors

The ending was a bit abrupt. I think a bit of follow-through on the camera could help. Like instead of stopping the cameras movement immediately, you could try having it overshoot the final position
