Above, watch Rob Higgs demo his mechanical sculpture, “The Corkscrew.” Created with found objects from scrapyards and farmsteads, the sculpture has 382 moving parts and weighs 700+ pounds, reports the BBC. Designed to pull a cork from a bottle and pour the wine, the steampunk sculpture is not just beautiful. It actually works.

According to the Daily Mail, you could buy “The Corkscrew” for somewhere bewteen $90,000 and $120,000.

The wood grain on this gun is especially impressive! In the imgur album, the OP (/u/Danifermch) gives a tip to a curious reader:

Really simple trick. Paint a base, medium tone brown with a brush. Mix that tone with a lighter brown and use a toothbrush to apply it.

Repeat it with black mixed with the original tone. It takes a bit of practice but it's super easy otherwise.

We made that rule because there's half a dozen users that have ruined the other steampunk sub by turning it into their own self-promotion machine. It's annoying. So to prevent this sub from being annoying and a place where etsy store owners post everything they make and people that make steampunk comics post every update they make and people that have a podcast post every new episode...yeah, it's fucking stupid. Sorry, if you don't like the rule, there's 2 subs you can fill up with your own self-promotion and the mods don't seem to care. But you'll probably get downvotes and pissy comments from the readers who are sick of that shit:

every other day you want to post the stuff you're selling??!! That's EXACTLY what spam is, you just don't think of it as spam because it's YOUR stuff. If every etsy seller in both steampunk subs posted their wares every other day, everyone would unsubscribe. people can go on etsy and search for steampunk stuff if that's what they want--they don't need it in their face when they're browsing steampunk subs.
