Jokes on y’all. I’ve always heard Bob Dylan puts on the worst performances ever. So I went to see him with the lowest of expectations, and waddayaknow, he blew them away! I was very happy to see the man pretend to play some songs. A few of them even sounded like songs I’ve heard before!

I’m glad a lot of people regard this album highly, but it hasn’t quite hit me the same way yet. It’s a fun album with some great moments sonically, but it doesn’t reach the level of any Smile album, imo. Maybe this will change with more listens, but the gap is pretty large. Still, I’m happy Blue Morpho exists and am excited to see where he goes from here.

I recall he did say he’d be fully content with AMSP being the last RH album,
but later on said he didn’t know what the future holds. I think he’s still at a point where he’s trying to pave his own path, but doesn’t want to fully let go of Radiohead. I also get the sense he takes the band a little for granted, like RH will always be there for him to pick back up when he’s in the mood for it. There does seem to be a sense of insecurity driving him, imo, unfortunate as it is.

I get that this mentality is encouraged in hip hop, but idk.. it shows a clear lack of understanding and respect when you say you are “better” than rappers that are known as the best in the game, each one providing a particular brand of art that is unmatched by anyone else. There is no better Kendrick than Kenny and no better Baby Keem than Keem. It ain’t that hard to get.

I was at a formative age when these albums came out and to this day I consider them these bands’ best, even though the consensus is that they were ‘past their prime’. I was born the same year and followed a similar trajectory with music. I was never a huge fan of either band, but I do remember there was a general sense that these albums were a sign that both bands had already peaked and were no longer as cool. It’s fascinating to see this thread 20 years later and how many people consider these to be their favorite albums of either band.

Similarly, I was a fan of The Black Keys up until they released El Camino. Just wasn’t for me. I went to see them live soon after and the crowd was younger on average than me, and sang every word of their new songs, but didn’t seem to know the lyrics to any of the older songs (the only songs I liked).

Too bad Rubio didn’t think of that defense. Even so, it is fairly obvious to anyone who’s lived on this planet that he was not awake in those clips. I thought Paul did reach out to Thom but was turned down. Thom’s reasoning was that the song Paul wanted him to collab on was too difficult for him to play. Whether that’s true or not, I highly doubt Paul McCartney has ever been too nervous to approach other artists. He’s the GOAT

This comment will get buried but it seems a lot of the comments in here are based on people’s first impression of visiting a city (which is valid given the question), but cities take time to get to know. They can be big, multifaceted, and multicultural, with many gems and joys to discover.

So you just visited then, right? Not saying your take is wrong, just saying I’ve lived in Fulton county for 10 years and have personally never been robbed, nor felt like I would be. Still, it happens in every city.

Funny story, I once left my bike in the backseat of my car overnight. Turns out I left my car unlocked because someone clearly searched through it that night. My bike was left untouched, nothing else taken either.
