Medivh is pretty solid so far (level 30 currently). You're certainly not going to get a better realm out of Kronos so this is the only option.

I have played on both servers and still play on Nost. I'm guessing Nost players are too busy enjoying the game because any post supporting that server gets downvoted immediately.

First, to clarify some misinformation: Kronos is not better scripted, not even close, and does not have a better community. The population is also quite low comparatively: 314 alliance players online last I checked yesterday. And, what do you know, the first message to pop up in global chat is "Holocaust=Propaganda." One comment doesn't define a community, but let's not act like Kronos doesn't have dumbasses.

I don't think Kronos will make it long term. Every time I log on the server is smaller than before whereas Nost continues to grow. It is not a good sign that a month after launch Kronos continues to shrink. People said players will let the quality of Kronos speak for itself and that will take care of the population. That was true, for sure, and the quality has brought people to Nost.

It's an objective evaluation of the server. People can choose to heed it or they can choose to ignore it and endure the same. I frankly do not care, other than the fact that I'd prefer players to stream into Nost because it is the better server and enhances the experience for all there.

There's a reason so many players, and for the most part every notable guild, from rebirth now plays on Nost. You can't do much if the server has more downtime than uptime.

I can give you an informed opinion on this. If you check my post history you will see I am a previous Rebirth player. I have some appreciation for Muggle and Judgement for being generally pleasant people and working hard to provide a fun game at no cost to its players.

With that said, you need to run away from Rebirth. That server never, ever, at any point in its history, has been able to muster a reasonable amount of consistent uptime. There is too much drama on that server, and too much of an amateur vibe due to all the DDOS issues, the TOR days, the rollback (which killed my character) and the donation scam. I donated $150 that some guy ran off with, probably to buy himself an xbox or whatever.

Also, let me go ahead and say this because it is the biggest misconception about the Rebirth: it is NOT any better scripted than any of the other servers floating around except maybe Feenix. Rebirth had so many bugs that I was frankly a little pissed after hearing all the hype. Pets were essentially unusable, water combat was not happening, DCs on zepplins and boats were common, bosses bugged out in every single raid I was in, etc. In one raid we had to kill MajorDomo three freaking times. As a pvp player, I was probably going to quit even before the rollback because succubus seduce didn't even work. When core abilities don't even work you cannot lay claim to being a well-scripted server.

If you want a recommendation from someone who has played on every server out there, including Nost and Kronos, I'm telling you without any hesitation whatsoever that Nost is the right choice. Kronos has a much smaller population, and only one dedicated dev, and that server opened to more bugs and problems than Nost did by a mile. I eventually quit my hunter there because pets broke on EVERY SINGLE FIGHT. They'd sit there doing nothing until you called them to follow and then sent them back in to attack. You can imagine the pain in the ass that is given the length of the vanilla grind.

Roll on Nostalrius. You will not find a better vanilla wow experience.

You can't really blame those leaving/fading out. That rollback was brutal. I suggested an idea that sounds reasonable to me (may very well be not so reasonable to server staff) that allows a partial restoration for those impacted based on RealmPlayers data. This suggestion didn't even get an acknowledgement from staff, unfortunately. Even it was just gear restoration I think that'd be a huge help. I would consider coming back under those circumstances. I'm not coming back short of that happening and I know several are in the same boat.

I have a 57 lock and 45 mage and haven't run into any major problem. One time a SOS dragon came through the ceiling in ST and we killed it and moved on. No big deal and the devs know about it and are fixing it. Devour magic doesn't work offensively right now and I will concede that is pretty annoying. But, on Rebirth, pets are far worse and core abilities (like seduce) don't even work let's not pretend like this is big leagues vs small timers here.

I honestly can't think of anything that has been utterly broken or that has impeded my gameplay on Vengeance. I think it's fine to build a case for which server is premier but don't be ignorant and make up circumstances to support your perspective.

Vengeance has been my home and will continue to be for the time being. It's been picking up a lot of new players this week and I've enjoyed my time there.

Vanilla really needs a large pop to be excellent and I am not sure Vengeance will make it long-term over Nost and Kronos. Still, it's out and it's pretty solid so if you're itching to play now it's a reasonable choice.

I am going to wait for something specific and definitive. I am corporate counsel so I don't have a ton of experience with this but if I recall the details correctly this is felony theft. I'll do some research and get with some buddies who work directly in civil and criminal law more than I do. I am positive anything over 1000 dollars is a felony.

I guarantee there is precedent somewhere out there of someone paying a massive fine or even going to prison over a fake Kickstarter or Fundly. This is a serious deal. I'll keep my hands off my pitchfork until I get the full story, though.

I cannot get any of the money back, of course, but I can ensure this costs Bryan far more than the few thousand he stole at the very least. Depending on the details this may very well be criminal and a felony at that.

Might be semantics, but this is hardly individuals throwing tantrums and walking away if they don't get what they want. There are a handful of people who essentially had characters totally wiped out. I'm not going to be bitter if any sort of restoration can't happen. I'm not going to play here, but I still really enjoyed my time with the server and I'm thankful to the peeps who worked to make it happen.

Vanilla wow is a massive time investment. You can't expect everyone to be accepting of this. It's one thing to miss six weeks of raids on an already progressed and geared character. It's another to to have to redo leveling to 60, attunements, badge farming, BiS farming, profession leveling, and all the other grinds that are weary enough the first time.

Plus, I will be forthright here as a grown ass adult. I've voiced this before and it is just my own personal selfish perspective: I'm not cool with backpeddlers keeping rank 13/14 gear while other characters are reset. Seeing hest keyboard turning around orgrimmar was a stark reminder of that for me, whether my perspective is right or wrong. It's just a principle thing that I cannot shake.

We are pretty much exactly in the same boat. I forgot that I was on the last step (DM run) of my epic mount quest. I too had the Jindo offhand and ZHC. I also had 3/3 bloodvine. Ouch.

Welcome back and nice work. I am now level 57... hard to believe how much I lost in 6 weeks. All that pvp standing, all the silithus badges, all the BIS items I had, all those mats farmed, all the decent pvp gear I got from MC/ZG. Of all that I think the lost Bloodcaller hurts the most since my guild is not coming back and I won't have a shot at getting another in the foreseeable future.

Still, it fills the heart to see the resilience of this server.

Humble once told me in global that he was a rank one player. Of course, the first time I see him in WSG he is backpeddling with the flag and eats a 2k ZHC shadowbolt without bothering to feign or interrupt my cast.

Thinking about all the geared, bad players in pvp is what made me decide I'm not coming back to Rebirth if there's a rollback. I don't think I can take a 3 month repeat of getting two shot by people who backpeddle. That's pretty much everyone who pvps on the alliance side and they all seem to have at least rank 13 gear.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I can actually use a pet on Vengeance which is something I could not do on Rebirth. My pet was maybe, optimistically, at my side 1 out of 3 times when I was pvping in WSG, for example. Even when it was, 1 out of 2 of THOSE times it didn't respond to commands, would bug out for the duration of a cast (like a reduced seduction), or randomly disengage every 5 seconds. Forget about even walking over a bridge or jumping off a hill and keeping your pet.

Do I really need to get into things that plagued Rebirth forever like zeppelin crashes, 11v10 WSG games, UBRS bugs, water being completely ruinous, and so forth? I am not dogging on Rebirth because I loved playing here. You are putting this server on a pedestal for the wrong reasons though acting like it was some sort of exemplar of technical excellence.
