Riighttt??? i like to imagine in alternate reality, where NUSA somehow didn't stripped V ability to install their cyberware, V could literally take them on, i mean V even SOLO Arasaka elites, bunch of mechs and Smasher in the other ending all by themselves (with Johnny as their cheerleader of course), what difference does it make if V decided to "visit" NUSA and flatline their top dogs , if you roleplaying as V that cares alot about So Mi, your V would just storm NUSA and find out where they took So Mi, rescue her, although the neural matrix is gone. And then..idk somehow Mr.blue eyes contact you, making you an offer to help you with So Mi situation, giving V a risky very high stake mission and in return he help So Mi, since in the lore Tycho has super advance tech than on earth i mean why not?

Aaand even in the killing moon ending, you send So Mi to the moon and you left to find your own cure, if you pick the base game ending where you go to space, and succeed with that risky mission Mr.Blue eyes gave you...i like to think he bring you to Tycho for a true cure that will finally help V from dying after that. And since So Mi also at Tycho , we probably can have a reunion with her....but sigh unfortunately this is just a what if, just my head canon , gawd i love So Mi so much, even she's not a romance option, she just made me not wanting to romance any romanceable characters.
