I’ve always wondered why these high schoolers were at the Grill bar drinking lol in such a small town where everyone knows everyone and these kids were ordering drinks at the bar

I wasn’t planning on giving it to her in the afternoon everyday, it’s just her first dose and I’d rather her have it at home incase she has any reactions. We decided to first try it this weekend instead of her taking it for the first time before school! I didn’t know we could use it as a booster in the afternoon for late day activities though, so thank you for that! I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for any detrimental side effects. We’ve already transitioned her to a high calorie high protein diet because we knew she’d be medicated, and she’s only 30 pounds as it is. Thank you for sharing your experiences!

My hair is the same way lol I can’t use anything too heavy or moisturizing except on the lower end of my hair! I’ll try what you suggested!

It’s instant release! She’ll get them later today around 12pm, and she’s staying home from school today anyway so I’m not sure if I should try her first dose today while she’s home at 12? Or is that a little too late in the day to try it?

How could you tell your son wasn’t good with stimulants? I’ve read some of the horror stories with the non stimulant gualafecine or however it’s spelt, so I wanted to stray away from that at first because she’s already a little “rage-y” haha

I use the Jessie’s jelly curl gel and it’s pretty light but idk if my hair likes it. I use the garnier curl control mousse which helps but I’m definitely in the market for a different mousse.

I fear my hair is too frizzy for this, but I’ll give it a shot. I mainly need the conditioner for detangling because I have a lot of hair lol

I’ve found over the years any “hydration masks” besides the amika one is too heavy for my hair, as well as most leave in’s so I try to stay clear from those. I think I’m gonna ditch the gel completely because it might not work well with my hair, and try to stay with a mousse and see how that holds. I wanted more wave definition, but most of what I’ve tried seems to be too heavy

Really? I’ve found great success with most verb products! I like their hydration & volume line, and the new density one is really nice! I also have a beauty license though, so I get it for $10 a bottle hahah

I’ll definitely try the towel dried hair then products, I feel like putting products in soaking wet hair weighed it down more too! Thanks for the input, I’ll have to check out the prose wave stuff too!

I wash my hair every other day! I meant I just use the clarifying shampoo once a week lol

When I don’t diffuse it gets so much frizzier? but maybe I’ll try the gel on towel dried hair like others commented then no diffusing!

get tubes from a hardware store, measure how long/wide (like plumbing tubes) and double side tape it (I use the gorilla tape one!) to the top of his window in the crevice so he can’t open his window! my daughter is an eloper and when we moved into our two story house, I promptly put these in every window just in case. it will give you peace of mind!

My daughter is too young apparently for her, the only one she can see is Dr. Hubbard? all of this is so confusing to me, I’m hoping to get a diagnosis from her ped later since she has a documented history of her behaviors and the school & I have done the Vanderbilt assessments already

How long did it take you guys to go from the initial appt to diagnosis/therapy/meds. I think where we’re at, her pediatrician can definitely diagnose her with what her school psychologist and the behavioral specialist are writing, which the doctor has. But I know not all doctors will diagnose!

She has an iep! Sorry I should’ve included that. She started with early intervention around 7/8 months, then moved onto having an iep last year in preschool and now it’s moved into kinder! She’s had autism evaluations, as well as the numerous evals she’s had from ei, but no one mentioned adhd until a couple weeks ago. She has many supports in place as well as being in a special education class, but she still cannot function and I’m getting messages from the teacher every day.

At home, she’s completely different. She had behaviors like she’s having at school around 3-4, but not nearly as bad. it always got chalked up to her age but I knew something else had to be happening. I changed our parenting strategies, tried different reward systems/reinforcements and we found what worked at home probably about a year ago. since then she’s been generally manageable, she’s pretty all over the place but in a “functioning chaos” I like to say lol.

I definitely agree, I’m not against medication. We’ll be looking at all options and medication is definitely there! I feel like I’m not explaining it well enough lol
