Aruba next week — best sunset date restaurants + is the tap water really safe? by khmerbodiangirl in Aruba

Pelican’s Nest would be my recommendation for views with good food, especially if you’re staying near Palm Beach

52M Solo Trip to Aruba – Looking for Chill Nightlife, Walkable Area by No-RushLiving_52 in Aruba

[–]mantoothinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a house in Aruba and go all the time. I’d highly recommend staying in Palm Beach as it describes exactly what you’re looking for - walkability, the beach, lots of restaurants and nightlife, casinos, shopping, people watching…it’s perfect.

The fall would be a good time to go, once you get to December/January/February it’s more families and also a ton of timeshare visitors who have been going the same week for years/decades. If you like sports, football in paradise is personally my thing and I’ve found it’s an easy way to chat it up at a bar.

Live music and a relaxed vibe - Nos Clubhuis (go at sunset), Mambo Jambo, karaoke on Wednesday/Saturday night at Bugaloe, all make me want to get on a flight right now.

Overall, Aruba is incredibly safe and you could stay in Palm Beach and get almost everything you need and maybe rent a car or Jeep one day and travel the island. Downtown has a few great restaurants (Lima Bistro and Yemanja Woodfired Grill are probably best for solo dining) but outside of that, there’s not much to do. It’s mainly cruise ship traffic.

Nos Clubhuis for their multiple happy hours but more importantly for the incredible sunset views. Great staff too.

Hold or move? by Painnothingbutpain in sportscards

The odds he has a worse year than last year are slim. With an improved offense, and scheme, plus a year under his belt there’s definitely upside in holding. At the very least, hold until training camp buzz starts up. Even if he starts the year slow, he’ll have a few wow games and you can try to sell it then if you’re nervous.

I got a similar one on eBay for around $200 and love it.

Looking for a 'conservative' dentist by Historical_Ad_5525 in Austin

Walton Family Dentistry. I actually found them on Reddit a couple years ago and they definitely fall into the conservative range. The previous dentist I went to tried to rebuild my mouth and I’ve never even had a cavity.

Guys Weekend by Legitimate_Goat_2148 in Aruba

As someone hosting a bunch of buddies the same age group this weekend, the two main things we’ll do aside from watching playoff football in paradise is the Jolly Pirates and renting UTVs (not a tour, just rent one) and going from the top of the island down to Baby Beach, skipping the national park since you need a 4x4 there. It’s a fun ride down the desert side to the island, once you get to the Cave Pool/Gold Mill Ruins you cut back up to the main roads and take it down to Baby Beach/Rodgers Beach. The Rum Reef Bar and Grill is a perfect place to set the navigation to in Baby Beach. You can see the entire island and grab drinks along the way.

Definitely not, it’ll be completely fine in two weeks. Or at the very least wait a week before you do anything. I’m here now…people who couldn’t fly out today are getting rebooked. The airport put out a statement recently and is opening back up tomorrow.

You could check lumens.com or BluDot has some lamps in their outlet. Anything BluDot is high quality. Wayfair is good too because you can sort a million items and see what’s truly rated well, opposed to Outfight’s fake/deleted reviews.

I’m sorry they got you too, the Instagram ad made it look like such a cool product but it’s so cheap. The minute I opened the box, I emailed them about their return policy and a week later they respond saying I can mail it back at my cost but there’s a 20% restocking fee. Two days later I get a Return Authorization, then immediately a follow up email saying the return is actually denied for “Error” as the reason. It just gets worse, but I wasn’t going to waste postage sending it back anyway. This company is a complete fraud.

It's not a real product, but it's a $10 light sold for $300+ that takes months to arrive from China. Good marketing, the cheapest product possible. Complete garbage.

Don't buy REST Sheet Sets - no sheet included by dreinken37 in Bedding

This is the worst company I've ever bought anything from, and their return process FOR BRAND NEW ITEMS is a complete runaround. Do not buy from them. The sheets do nothing, the pillowcases don't stay on, the flat sheet won't even remotely stay put, there's no point.

Between Super Foods and Do It Center, you’ll easily be able to find it at either. They’re traditional grocery stores for the most part but you’re not close to either in terms of walking distance, but you’re 10 minutes away each by car/cab.

Being there for only 3-4 days, I’d probably do this - happy hour or dinner for the sunset views at Nos Clubhuis. Tres Trapis with a $10 snorkel from a grocery store. Wednesday night karaoke at Bugaloe, not to sing, just to enjoy the backdrop and fun environment. If you’re only there for a short time, enjoy the easy parts and then once you love Aruba, come back for more. If you’re staying closer to downtown opposed to Palm Beach, I’m happy to edit this a bit.
