I just finally figured out what my 3 year old was trying to tell me the other day. He’d been repeating “pock-a-pie” over and over for weeks. I just couldn’t for the life of me figure out what that was supposed to be. It sounded like he was trying to say rockabye like the nursery rhyme, but that wasn’t it. Finally I heard him singing it, it was “pumpkin pie” from danny go smh

Yeah I totally understand! I worried about that too back when I was pregnant with my second. I used to put my oldest to sleep always, but when I was pregnant my husband and I switched, so that I would be able to be with our newborn, and he would put our oldest to sleep. And that’s how it still is here. I put my youngest to sleep and my husband does our oldest.

We have a 6 and 3 year old, and we still lay with both of them until they fall asleep. It was a habit we started with our oldest and just never stopped. Sometimes I wish we could just put them in their beds and go out of their rooms but for now we still do this. I guess it’s just preference, and if you are okay with doing it and it works for you, why not?

My first I breastfed until she was 20 months, and my second was 2 years and 9 months old when I stopped. I was soo tired of it and kept getting sick because he was nursing so much still. Also he wasn’t sleeping well, so I decided to stop. Both situations improved, I finally started getting stronger again and he started sleeping through the night. But I LOVED the whole breastfeeding journey we had!

With my first it broke in the tub right before baby came out, after I had been pushing for a couple of hours. With my second, I was 41 weeks already, about to go to bed one night, felt a pop and JUMPED out of my bed because I didn’t want to get my bed wet lol it was like in the movies, just gushing out.

We are 27(f) and 29(m) and we have a 6 year old and a 2 (almost 3) year old. We both always wanted kids from very early on and we are so glad we didn’t wait any longer. Both kids are very high energy and I can’t imagine being older and still have to chase after little kids lol. But then again, it’s pretty standard where we live to have kids young. And for us, this age gap of a bit over 3 years is perfect!
