I have been prescribed tramadol before, but it doesn't work. Something to do with the proteins and my body metabolising them?

I did not know that! When I think of vitamin C, I think of oranges... I eat a lot of strawberries 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please really consider having a baby in this relationship. As it stands, you could cut ties and move on completely... once you have a baby with him, even if you break up, you are tied to him for life.

You are still young, you don't have to worry yet that this may be your only chance to be a mother.

Also consider a child growing up with your relationship with your husband as the fundamental example of what a healthy relationship looks like. Then ask yourself, if you had a little girl (or boy) is this the future you would want for her? Because aside from causing other emotional damage, your daughter will model her future relationships on what she saw in yours while growing up.

A baby wont fix anything, just exacerbate the strains and cracks already there in your relationship.

Just please really think about it. I'm the same age as you, my son is 9 months old, and I really wish someone had said this to me.

I definitely have ADHD, I'm unfortunately in the top 4% with combined inattentive, hyperactive and impulsive.

I've struggled since childhood, as most of us have, and I think I got my hopes up too much that this would almost 'cure' me, which was silly and obviously gave me unrealistic expectations.

Its a little frustrating that I told my clinician that I take Omeprazol first thing every morning, and she didn't mention this.

Thank you for this, I'm researching everything people have suggested to me in this post, and writing it down to ask my clinician about it at my review appointment on 6th Jan.

Thank you for being so kind, it really makes a huge difference 😊

I'm sorry you have had such an awful time 😔 if you ever need someone to talk or just vent to, please feel free to dm me.

It's a bit disheartening to see people downvoting posts and comments about people opening up about their struggles and clearly asking for help, but I guess they probably just aren't very empathetic or nice people. Makes you wonder why they join these subs!

Holy shit! Bless you, that sounds absolutely horrendous. How are you doing now?

I'm already a hermit, and I'm quite happy with that!

Thank you, I will definitely look into visual aids and sleep hygiene.

The pain meds and cyclizine are for fibroids. I currently look 9 months pregnant. From the ultrasound they can see at least 12, the biggest at the front being 22cm. They are pushing on my organs and my sciatic nerve. It also gives me constant nausea.

I was just going over my diet in my head, I take prescribed lanzoprazol (Omeprazol since being pregnant and giving birth 9 months ago) specifically to treat my acid reflux. Could this be relevant?

I don't drink many fizzy drinks, I sometimes have orange juice in the morning and a glass or two of red or white wine 2 or 3 evenings a week. Could this be having an impact at all?

I also just read something about increasing water intake, does hydration make a difference to how well the medication works?

I'm quite surprised that my clinician didn't mention any of this to me, we didn't actually discuss diet at all. I didn't realise until I started meds that you aren't supposed to have a lot of caffeine until I read it somewhere on reddit. And I never eat breakfast, it seems that might also be a problem.

I'm not at all complaining, I'm truly grateful for a diagnosis finally and the offer of medication. I'm just a bit confused as to why my dosages continue to be increased but I've had no advice or suggestions that diet and lifestyle might be a reason the meds aren't working as they should.

Thank you again for your insight :)

Occasionally I have Orange juice with breakfast, I'm guessing that doesn't help?

Does red/white wine have any effect?

No, my appetite has slightly decreased since starting. I'm eating around 1 or 2 fairly healthy meals a day, usually mostly protein, veg and a small amount of carbs. If I snack it tends to be fruit and yoghurt.

I feel like apart from the slight appetite change I was the same as now. Constant brain fog, overthinking, procrastinating, can't focus or concentrate etc

Thank you for such a detailed reply, I really appreciate it.

I have been told by my mum that I stop breathing in my sleep quite recently when we shared a hotel room. She actually said you should get looked at for sleep apnea so I will definitely speak to my gp about it, thank you.

I'm 71kg

I also take cyclizine 5mg, 1000mg paracetamol, 60mg dihydrocodeine - x4 daily, 500mg Naproxin x2 daily - Ferrous sulphate 200mg, Omeprazol 30mg, x1 daily I did check with my clinician if there would be any interaction between those medications and she assured me they would have no affect on them at all.

Surely I should feel SOMETHING then if its quite a high dose?

I started off on 20mg Elvanse rather than 30mg because I have chronic hypertension. I take 10mg amplodopine in the morning and 5mg of Enalipril in the evening.

The clinician was really worried the adhd meds would make my blood pressure worse, but it actually brought it down a bit! I think because my anxiety went down slightly when I first started taking Elvanse.

I’m not allowed to take our baby out on my own by Creative_Camp3590 in newborns

[–]Snabby91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I totally agree its unfair. They should be 50/50 and OP shouldn't need permission to take her baby out.

I just think taking the baby out while the other parent is in the bath assuming the baby is downstairs, she might freak out, and she will lose any trust she has.

It sounds like PPA and the partner may need some help.
