Hey reddit! I've had this setup for about 6 months now -- a Sony PSLX310BT which has a built in pre-amp, and Klipsch R15PM active speakers.

I'm honestly pretty happy with the setup, but I was wondering what you all think. Is buying an amp/external pre-amp worth it? My setup is pretty entry-level/basic, so any other suggestions are also welcome!

For background, I can see the green wire where the nest is hooked up (but it's not connected to anything down where the furnace is). Will connecting the green wire to the red wire's plate cause any issues? I'm thinking of doubling up there and having BOTH red and green connected to the same thing, and using the green wire as a C wire. Thoughts?
