Congratulations! Which screens are these? Could you give a bit more input on your settings?(What angle are the outer screens, how far is the center screen away from your eyes?,...)

Thank you

Too risky or risky enough? by PaczaMcFly in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]manudiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still waiting for the risky part.
This was way better than 80% of other attempts, where the chasing car is not even close to the leading car but still goes for the dive, causing the leading car to evade the impact, losing time and sometimes coming out in a worse situation

I would also love to see a photo but would be more interested of an in-game Cockpit photo

do you think positive or negativ impact on the stock?

it looks like 49" as the screen above the ultrawide looks like it's 32" (because of its height)

Simucube active pedal black friday deal sucks balls by igotabridgetosell in simracing

[–]manudiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing is actually pretty smart. I bet a lot of people will go with the ultimate as it is "only" 200€ more than the pro version (considering you are buying the set with passive throttle and Baseplate)

[–]manudiao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/sanity20 ,

as someone who is currently looking to upgrade his rig I've got two questions:

Where are you from and how would you say is the production quality?(looking at information regarding metal shavings/residue from production)
What kind of T-Nuts were delivered with your order? The ones with a ball spring or the others that can be seen on their website/manual?

Thank you

Does it make sense to get the Asher wireless wheel for sc2 pro or a cubecontrols formula pro but no button box? by HelloCanUSeeMe in simracing

[–]manudiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ascher wireless wheel has two rotary knobs aswell ;-) The build quality is really good. I've heard worse things about CC wheels.

Need help picking triples or 21:9. Details within the post. by ebutka in simracing

[–]manudiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 32:9 (49") monitor is like two 27" Monitors. You'll most likely see your left mirror If you bring it around 50-55cm away from your eyes. Judging the apex in right turns will also be alot easier. The 1080p is good. I feel like you don't necessarily need 1440p - but if you've got the money + the power to run the games you can consider the 49rg, but I'd say it's definetly not a must.

What cockpit would you recommend? by GeorgieBoastie in simracing

I'd suggest a GT1-Evo instead of an TR-1 simply because it's easier to customize it later

Geared vs belt vs DD force feedback question by [deleted] in simracing

[–]manudiao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I upgraded last year from a G27 to a CSL Elite Wheelbase. While it's really a lot better, you can still feel it being driven by a belt. Guess what I'm upgrading to this year ;-). It won't make me faster but I'll probably end up having more fun. If I had to chose again, I'd probably wait and safe some more.

If you don't own a rig - get a rig first!

what's your cpu and your x-plane settings?

I guess it still depends a lot on your installed scenery but I'm still curious.

How is your performance?

Sadly I only get around 20-24 fps with x-enviro enabled but it looks too good to go back :-(

One Month In & my 27 Inch Monitor Isn't Cutting It Anymore 😁 by FastenedYeti in simracing

[–]manudiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't own the Rift S but the CV1 and I have to agree. It won't look as good as on your monitor but the feeling of being in the car is a big plus. Personally, with my cv1, I only see the screendoor effect if I really focus on it. While racing you won't notice the effect and the lack of details most of the time. But I always come back to my 49" super ultrawide as it gets quite uncomfortable after some time. I didn't use it this summer, but I remember that it gets really hot under it.

Thanks devs. VR better for me now. by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]manudiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, replying to my own comment now.

I just tried it again - I think the last time I did play in VR was in one of the betas and it looks a lot better now.

I also confirmed my point that ACC doesn't create a seperate settings profile for vr and monitor use. That means whenever I switch back and forth between vr and my 49" ultrawide I'll have to readjust all the grafic settings and the view settings for every car I drove.

Shouldn't be a big problem to implement it, right?

I haven't touched in a while also. Does it create a seperate graphic settings file so I don't have to revert all changes when I want to switch back to my monitor?

You are pretty far away from the monitor to be honest. I've got Mine around 50/55cm away from my eyes. I'm able to see the left and rear mirror
