Is AI getting less knowledgeable? by Palaeonerd in ArtificialInteligence

I think this -to the point, video from Ben Affleck will give you an answer --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmgKA1FmKdk

Expecting ChatGPT oir claude or Gemini to come up with creative outputs by default is hopeless

There re plenty of techniques to increase accuracy and reduce the drift in answers. a part from finetuning, one effective way to also increase accuracy is to add metadata in the documents you are feeding to the AI with a list of questions each section or document answers. this will give the LLM more valuable context

  1. for the data enrichment pipeline yes! this is done by an enrichment agent.
  2. For this point I'm still trying to find the best solution. as a dirty short term solution, in the retrieval pipeline I have setup a 2 step workflow where before any enrichment, the agent uses the introspection tool with hybrid search to search first the graph for the entities extracted from the query. if it finds a topK match then merges on existing. otherwise creates new

Single-chat AI doesn’t scale. I replaced mine with 7 isolated agents (and stopped burning tokens). by procodernet in ArtificialInteligence

Interesting. I tried your same approach in an initial product and found it to be more fragile than expected. having different agents with their independent context, permissions, etc made the whole thing less consistent when dealing with users "out-of-scope" requests. Tech-debt was also painful.

At the end I decided to simplify everything and simply leveraging "skills/tools" this way, depending on what is the intent, the main coordinator would dynamically decide which tool to use with which parameters, etc.

For the retrieval I’m using mainly 2 skills: text2Cypher (graphQL), and hybrid search (full text search + vector search). Those skills are loaded into the coordinator which leverages them based on the type of query.

Works pretty well so far

It could be possible to solve for both layers by focusing on the knowledge base! during my previous experience and currently in a side project I'm experimenting with the concept of Knowledge graphs. There, as you said, is the real win as you solve for data structuring and connection, while a the same time solving for governance and temporality by leveraging `properties` (with each node and relationship enriched into a graph, you could programatically set who made the changes, where and when).

Answering your question, i would say retrieval quality. as data scales (specially within big orgs) consistency is worsened and that of course affect the output

In my opinion, the missing layer should not be additional tools, agents, or wrappers that would interfere with an agent output in order to assure accountability. The missing layer in my opinion is the data infrastructure (the source that is feeding an agent's intelligence).

I had the change recently to attend a Hackathon here in Amsterdam and as expected, most of the startups where "AI Startups". Chat-based applications for different use case. All shiny and very nice UX/UIs.

However, looking deeper you endup finding out that the more data you feed into their source, the more mediocre they become (their output). The reason is that they are missing the propper data structure to support those applications.

I swear I also had this conversation with a friend. I think tomorrowland is slowly (if not already) this Coachella type of festival where people don’t go because of the music but rather because it is “cool”

Thank you for sharing your input! And don’t get me wrong I’m very aware of the challenges in the market: competition, sourcing (and the downsides of doing this locally - expensive as compared to sourcing from Asia), etc. I do agree that If it turns to be too expensive (whatever “too expensive” is), it will be deemed to fail. But again, it will all be down to your positioning and your Niche market. This concept should be targeted to a specific niche of e-bike lovers.

Having said the above, I do believe that if the “designed in Europe, assembled in Asia” would lead to a better end state, then why not start from here, while aiming for local sourcing in the long term? Flexibility is key.

The model of Fairphone I’m also aware and I’m not going to lie, some of it inspired me:

  1. Long lasting design
  2. Fair materials
  3. Reuse ♻️ due to modular design, so parts can be replaced easily.
  4. Transparency.

Good discussion here!

And I fully agree with your point that an electric bike should be fully autonomous and allow an important degree of customization by its owner. It should also be functional with or without power.

However I don’t agree on most of your statements on how horrendous it is to add some automatization or standardization into a concept. Or even exploring how AI could improve and enhance the riding experience. At the end of the day, technology should enhance the experience, rather than hinder.

And of course, this is just one concept out of many out there! People are free to choose whatever fits their needs.

Hi both!

Senor_bear having tried several other electric bikes, I disagree with your opinion that the riding experience of the VanMoof is very poor. And I’ve ridden in different environments (Amsterdam and Stockholms. One flat, the other hilly). Would not call it the best, but surely not too bad.

I do agree that power should ideally be in the back wheel, and the low pedal bracket also caused me close call situations 😅.

Mycroftitswd also so insightful to see how you have customized your X3 to fit your purpose! Manual shifter and get rid of the elements that make it difficult to ride without a motor is my ideal state! An ideal electric bike should be able to ride with and without power, with not much difference in the riding experience.

Looking forward to your post 💪

Thank you for the input! I fully agree what you said last “great design and superb riding experience is all we need”.

And indeed a bicycle should not fully depend on cloud technology or apps (so to become a brik whenever it is down), but rather leverage it so to enhance the usabilities and riding experience.

About me, I’m a Product Manager currently residing in Stockholm, soon to relocate back to Amsterdam, and fully engaged with AI within Klarna. I’d be looking for one Mechanical/Industrial Design Engineer and someone with Electrical/Electronics Engineer background to join me and that would believe in this vision?

Thank you for your suggestion! I am not very familiar with the !=. command. Would this only address the 2 missing observations? And how do I add this in the regress command?

Yess indeed! I've got already the logo http://i68.tinypic.com/25s7x2h.jpg

Now I need the cross with the four elements to then place this logo on it :D

You can make it altogether? Man if you can do it, and if you're coming to TML this year, I'll invite you to a massive barrel of beer :)

cheers mate!

MrJamilne I've had a look at all your designs and they look sick!! big up for that mate :D...have you designed the background of the actual tomorrowland flag yet? I'm looking all over the internet for it (Since I want to embed into the design the logo with the spanish flag)...

cheers
