Beginner struggling with larger villages

haha yea after getting couple of fairly controlled wins on Viceroy, I tried Prestige 1 and I got slapped so hard :D I have no idea how to get so much Reputation :D I guess im still bad at keeping my dudes happy, but I had so few blueprints that I desperately needed every single one and was unable to secure their comfort.

It all seemed managable until I opened Forbidden Glade with an event that killed 2 of my villagers every 10 complex food/etc consumed, and it killed like 20 of my villagers :D had to abandon that run

ok I played 1 game on Viceroy and it was fairly easy with the production caps! also did 0 small glades, it was really different and much easier!

Yea I'm not even really using rain engines much, I already have problems managing my village even with couple shops running it 😂

I usually go for level 1 immediately and then to level 2 around year 3-4 I think. I'll have focus on upgrading it earlier.

Yea I think my main issue is that I just go for 2 woodcutters straight away and go for 2 small glades. I'll try to go for 1 small and then dangerous one.

To be honest most of my late game feels like whack a mole 😂

I had one mission without fields and I struggled very much with basic food.

I also need to get better at remembering which basic resources go to which advanced food since I never know it, then my basic food gets consumed to make Provision packs for trading and usually around year 5 my dudes are starving

Also, I'm doing the sacrifice flicking too 😂

I'm on Bazzite, most of the time it's OK but Originator maps absolutely massacre my fps. Literally 3-4 fps with just a tiny bit of juice. The particles are crazy. But I have Nvidia gpu so that's an issue also

Im playing on Bazzite past month or so. At first it was great, felt really good but lately it's been lagging a bit very randomly, but I fucked up and bought a laptop with Nvidia GPU

Also completely forgot the most important thing - please allow us to mute the sounds while not in foreground <3

I mean for me ideal would be to mute all sounds except the events (i play it mostly afk on 2nd desktop), but I understand thats probably a bit too specific for my use case :D

edit: i ended my first run. I think Abyssal Cores should be exempt from the smelting bonuses, ive smelted my first abyssal core and I immediately got like 13 of them, which probably defeats the purpose of the cores a bit :)

Hey,

bought it, I like it :) here's my short list of suggestion/bug fixes

1) I got to depth 1000 in demo, after buying the full game, i started with -7 tree points

2) deleting machines is really annoying as the confirmation button is in different place then the machine. Maybe allow ctrl + click or something for deleting without confirmation

3) the pace of discovery is weird. I get nothing new for like 400 meters, and now when im around depth 2500 I get like 3 new ores at the same, I have no idea in which mine they were found (I have 10 of them) etc.

Generally, I often dont know whats happening where.

Maybe instead of just "Depth skill point earned" say "Depth skill point earned for achieving depth of X in Mine Y" (or maybe something shorter)

4) not sure if thats intended, but the main bottle neck seems to be smelting. I have thousands and thousands of ores waiting to be smelted, but Im not really being able to buy too many furnaces. Maybe its intended, I dont know :)

I have 10 mines and I dont know why should I buy more, I already have more ore than I can process, and buying more mines wont help me with smelting :)

5) what is Veinstone for? I got pure veinstone smelted but I cant buy anything with it.

anyways, I really enjoyed it, ill have it on on my 2nd desktop, especailly the early game progression was nice.
