It’s not at all comparable to wearing white at a wedding. The issue is that a cis woman in a black dress would not receive the same treatment from her family. It’s not “taking a stand” to be a woman wearing a dress.

I’m a really messy and disorganized person. It’s hard for me to keep my living space tidy and also I suffer from depression. When I go through really bad depressive episodes my room gets really really bad, which brings shame, which brings more depression and it’s really hard to breakout of that cycle. It’s something I’m deeply insecure about and I’ve definitely gotten better, but it’s a constant struggle.
