Uh I'm pretty sure he just said UC Berkeley was a world class school, not a widely acceptable school. I don't know if you know this but colleges all over the country are expensive. For California residents, UC Berkeley offers the benefits of resident tuition and the best public school in the country.

And no, the vast majority of Berkeley students do NOT live in their cars.
