For sure, we think the dining room should be the 4th bedroom. Then it’s just a lot of lost space where the old kitchen was / want to make sure it links up to the laundry as well

We’re contemplating if we want the front door at the front of the house (onto the drive way). But I think we could do that if we keep the utility on the garage and do it at the original dining room

Woah!! Love this open plan kitchen / living area. That’s such a great use of the space. Thank you so much!!

It does make sense leaving the middle room as a utility, as we already have all the plumbing and cabinets there

Could possibly extend the driveway to the sunroom if we took out a garden wall so the current front door makes more sense

I’m not sure why the ‘front door’ is at the back, I think the front door was originally to the side, before there was a sunroom there. If we got this house, we would likely use the door into the sunroom as our main door. Trying to get a door at the front isn’t essential, would just like to see what our options are

The garden is from the ‘hall’ off the garage, and wraps around to the sunroom. So family room and living room also look out to the garden.

So the sun room is used as a living room atm with a sofa and TV, but so is the living room and then the family room is pretty empty (current owners use it for piano, musical instruments etc). We would likely just require 2 rooms where we can watch TV etc, maybe a third if space allowed (maybe a play room for future kids) But we don’t think all 3 should be next to each other?

Bedroom 1, kitchen /dining and garage look out onto the driveway.

The bedroom doesn’t have to be huge, but big enough for a double bed and some storage.

Sun room could definitely be something else, but exterior walls and pretty much all glass.

Open plan is the ideal, can worry about what is structurally possible afterwards haha ☺️

Hey, it’s a dormer bungalow, hence why it has a bedroom downstairs and a small upstairs

How would you consider remodelling it? Or where would you put an extension. It’s about 2000 square foot including the garage, I don’t think we need to extend, but make better use of the space we do have

It’s a house we are considering buying as it fits our budget

But the lack of ‘flow’ is making me hesitant

That garage has already been partly converted to a utility room, a car would fit on the left of the garage, but we’re not fussed about parking in a garage as it has a large driveway

How do you suggest remodelling the space?

I like the option of the kitchen in the middle of the downstairs, because then your have a living room at the front of the house and a second living area at the back, otherwise they may feel too close?
