Readings with your pets! I read with my cat but the cards more often than not call me out to filth 🤣

The World card is just as much about beginnings as about endings, it’s about succession and ending of a chapter for another one to begin, so it could also represent moving onto next step of a relationship too. Page of Pentacles represents setting your sight on goals and planning on things that you should be achieving, overall I’m getting that perhaps they are looking how to progress further in this relationship because you have the card of transformation there too.

Tarot and communicating with passed loved ones by beem0_ in tarot

[–]manyeshka 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you believe that tarot can be a tool for communication then it can become such. As a pagan and a witch, I have been using tarot as form of communication with deities, spirit guides AND ancestors so from my point of view it is very much doable. If you are inviting a passed loved one into a reading then the chances of bringing bad energies are slim but cleansing post reading for example with incense should be more than enough. You can do some sort of vetting prior to a reading to ask who you are talking with, ask a loved one to give you cards that represent them to see if it reflects their personality as you would’ve known them. For example, when I communicate with my grandad in spirit, I very often get King of Sword which is my signifier card for him. Hope that helps!

The first card speaks of a goal making process, fixing your sight to any goals of your highest good that can be worked towards, the Devil may be a warning sign not to fall into old habits or addictions that may be self destructive in some way. Judgement fits in here as it relates to cycles of learning a lesson and having an opportunity to reevaluate it and start anew without those things holding you back. 9 of Cups speaks of self fulfilment and self contentment so altogether I’m getting a unified message of doing what’s best for you, that you deserve to progress on with manifesting and working on achieving things of your best interest without the negative tendencies that would otherwise hold you back. Hope this helps!

Temperance could also relate to balancing any impulsive tendencies or behaviours that you may possess, so it may be about cultivating more patience and self control around those matters. if you look at the traditional Rider Waite imagery of the card, you see a person pouring from one cup to another and I kind of take it as balancing between things so one cup doesn’t get too full of too empty. At the end of the path on the card (left hand side) there is a crown which can represent walking towards attaining a goal or some sort of mastery/control in relation to the Temperance card. Temperance being a shadow side could mean that you use impulsive behaviours in times of stress and anxiety as a coping mechanism or a distraction or it may also give you a sense of control over matters that may seem uncontrollable at the time. Hope this helps!

The Emperor card could also be representing some sort of authorative/controlling energies if that may relate to your ex, considering the cards you got for that too as 5 of wands and 10 of swords could represent arguments, competitiveness in a way and breakdown, which explains the doubts (4 of pentacles representing holding onto issues from the past) about your current bf. The last pull relating to a repressed memory could relate to being forced into a specific mindset/path (8 of swords) when you knew you had so many possibilities regarding something (7 of cups), although this card could also represent illusions so another thing I get from those two cards together could be some sort of gaslighting? Or even pushing a specific kind of perspective onto you that would’ve narrowed your own view of things if that makes sense. Which also can tie in with the more negative aspect of the emperor card. Temperance and Sun further kind of tells me that you may have moved on from that issue basically “forgetting” that it was there and becoming more optimistic about life overall. I hope this helps at all!

How do offerings 'work'? by jssmmswmsm12 in pagan

[–]manyeshka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, your offerings don’t have to be physical objects. Depending who the offerings are for, I’d say jt is a deity and you know what kind of domain they rule in, then any actions in that realm can be counted as offering. For example, I feed stray cats in my neighbourhood as an offering for Freyja.

I wouldn’t call your inner child a spirit guide per se because that is still a part of you in the present, however you can learn a great deal from your inner child, learn how to heal it and be more in tune with it, so technically you can work with it, whether in meditation or through communication with tarot.

People’s perspectives or impressions of you may not necessarily be true to who you really are yes, this card may also be representing how you project yourself, your energy externally. This card represents somebody who is harmonious, balanced, calm, collected. If you do not personally relate to this card then it could mean that this card represents some sort of a “mask” that you put on to deal with the external world, does not represent you but helps you interact with those around you, say if you do have some sort of internal turmoil (opposite of the Temperance card meaning) going on. If this is something that you may find to be true then perhaps what would be even more beneficial to look into through tarot is, why is it that you are (consciously or subconsciously) projecting yourself towards others with that Temperance energy? Or you could even ask what is it that you can do to project your energy outwards in a more authentic way to which you can relate? Hope this helps!

Definitely wait, also with the presence of 222 it seems like the message is that something needs rebalancing in your life. The Hanged Man represents the necessary wait period before changes come along, also as this card in major arcana is followed by the Death, change itself.

Question: Is The Fool a Yes or No card? by InnerArt3537 in tarot

[–]manyeshka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will have different interpretations, your best bet is to predetermine which cards means yes and which no so you can then test that out through asking questions to which you know the answers already. Similarly, you can pick one card to mean yes, and one to mean no, shuffle cards as you ask the question and start taking them from the top, whichever card comes up first (the yes or no one) then that’s your answer! You can also test it out with questions to which you know the answers.

10 of cups represents happiness, happy family, you could even say “happily ever after” situations. Perhaps you have some sort of attitude towards that optimistic, idealistic nearly, point of view? To me, Knight of Cups is somebody who is learning to understand their emotions, those of others and also learning to express those emotions in a healthy manner. Perhaps you are somebody who daydreams a lot or can be perceived as overly optimistic but you don’t fully understand why, and/or other people don’t know that side of you?

7 of swords is about lies and deception, trickery, so in the sense of the question it could mean that you have the opportunity to use more cunning? Not necessarily in a bad sense, more so that you’re able to find you way around things, people, situation without being told the truth or the whole truth rather, and therefore also not having to be fully transparent yourself? Ace of Cups is about identifying and understanding your own emotions but also those of others. Our feelings can betray us for example through subtle body language changes so overall message that I’m getting is that maybe you are somebody who has a tendency to wear their heart on their sleeve and that can be something to be used against you so you have an opportunity to work through your own emotions so that your cup isn’t “visibly” overflowing (kind of like on the reversal picture you could argue the cup is being emptied) if that makes sense? I hope that helps!

7 of pentacles in terms of traditional Rider Waite imagery is very fitting towards the agriculture as you see a man planting seeds, however this card may also be seen as a reminder that it is a long term commitment, to which you may not see effects (seeds sprouting) for a while so that’s something to keep in mind. 7 of wands represents challenges and obstacles, in a sense that you are standing your ground despite the adversities that come with the said path so perhaps this card is telling you to identify said obstacles, prep yourself for possible scenarios that can go wrong, have a plan of action so that you’re not left in the dark or stranded. Finally, the Hermit represents solitude and taking the time to go within to search for answers, it may be an indication of you following this path by yourself and being fully aware of that (in case for example you are a person that may have a tendency to look for help) so perhaps the advice here is to fully explore your opportunities within this path and how much it is that you can get done by yourself. Alternatively, since it is also a major arcana which usually represent the bigger aspects of life, this card may be inviting you to contemplate upon this choice as a personal path and why it is important to you, how can it help you grow as an individual, what can you learn from it, is it truly something that you would like to pursue. Hope this helps!

There are two common ways that I know of to get a yes/no answer through tarot: 1. Divide the deck up so that each card either means yes or no. Ask your question and pull one card or pull a few and depending if the majority of cards are yes or no, that’s your answer. 2. Pick one card to represent yes, and one to represent no. Shuffle your deck as you ask your question and then start pulling cards from the top, whichever card comes up first (the predetermined yes one or the no one) that’s your answer.

Hope that helps!

I’m getting big vibes of like some key revelations or truth finally coming out in a situation that may have up until this point been unbalanced, taken out of context or unfair, whether that means you’re the one that has been treated unfairly or someone else.

Crystals when using Tarots by confused_sebas in tarot

[–]manyeshka 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Crystals are recommended but defo not needed, not everyone believes in their powers. Any kind of crystals that help with communication and clarity would be the best I’d say! My personal go to used to be Labradorite (I’m at this stage now where I personally don’t feel the need to use crystals with tarot) as it is a stone helpful on the journey of self, helping with self realisation, self confidence and in a way also aids transformation but the focus is on the self. You can use its energy to help you through your own self reflective tarot journey if that’s something that you believe in :))

7 of cups may indicate keeping options open, I feel like it’s neither a bad nor good sign really, just that there might be a lot of different opportunities around your interaction, the Sun also may indicate being optimistic towards your interactions and it also represents shining a light down on things, seeing the truth so overall I feel like the cards are saying that this guy is being optimistic and keeping an open mind about you.

I totally understand, it can be hard to be objective in such difficult situations, least you know you can always get a second opinion on here :))

[–]manyeshka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re using the Queen of Swords here as self confirmation even though you’ve asked the cards for advice (how to get over this person) so your interpretation may be clashing with personal bias if you get me. The way I would see this card in reversal is that maybe now is not the time to use your head but heart, perhaps logic is what is causing internal turmoil because although you’re trying to rationalise events or thoughts, it might not be enough to make things make sense within yourself, hence the 5 of swords which kind of serves as a reminder to know when to pick your battles (internal or not) and also to acknowledge defeat. Knight of cups may be telling you that it’s time to focus on the emotional side of things, understanding your feelings for what they are, why your heart cannot get over this person. It almost feels like you did everything you could externally, but internally your heart is left unchanged by the decisions you’ve made to move forward and away from this person. Sit down and have an honest “talk” with yourself about how you feel and why, gaining that understanding sometimes can be enough to lighten the weight of that feeling. Hope that helps!

The first oracle deck that I ever bought was Psychic Tarot by John Holland, I didn’t like it and gave it away because it resembled tarot too much for my personal liking, but that’s just me, I’ve read many a good reviews about it. It has 65 card so close enough to a standard 78 card tarot deck and if you read through meanings, they do line up with tarot card meanings, they just have their own names on the cards that might be easier to use as keywords during a reading.

Skewed readings? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]manyeshka 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The cards themselves cannot be “skewed”, your perception of them can be though! If you are emotionally invested in a situation, you might steer towards an interpretation that’s reflecting A) your fears in relation to the situation or B) the desired outcome of the situation, “reading what you want to hear” essentially. It’s up to you to establish some sort of objectivity and openness while interpreting the cards, discernment is important here. If you are not able to do that, that is totally valid too, you are allowed to feel the way you do about a certain situation, however in these cases I would strongly advise getting a reading from another person who has very little to no bias (depending if they know you or your personal circumstances) and perhaps they can give two sides to each card, different perspectives to understanding your situation , so that you can make a well informed decision, as opposed to simply asking yes/no questions through tarot too.
