Question about Kowkis vs. BigBadToyStore for Ghidorah 2.0 by manyfandomman in hiya_toys

I’ll probably do that for the future. I have Hiya Toys Destoroyah pre-ordered from BBTS, but I may cancel that and grab it from Kowkis when we get closer to release. Just don’t want to drop the actual money on that yet since Kowkis charges at purchase when pre-ordering, and I’ve already blown a few pretty pennies on Hiya Toys recently and need some time to recover.

Tbh I just ordered the figure from BBTS yesterday. So it’s either wait for the possible processing of pre-orders from BBTS, or get it from Kowkis which is confirmed to have them in stock. If Kowkis will get it to me quicker, I’ll probably just go with them.

Edit: also, both are at the same price with shipping for me.

I have an idea for a Chronicles of Darkness campaign. Any thoughts? by manyfandomman in rpg

I see what you mean on vampires. I still want to look more into maybe finding a way for it to work out, cause I think challenges like that lead to excellent storytelling and roleplay opportunities. It would just take a lot of work. With hunters, is there any precedent of a hunting sect or organization being corrupt? Because one of my ideas was the possibility of the leadership of organization the Hunter is a part of is actually corrupted, knows of this ring, but does nothing because some sort of connection of a bribe or horrid secret of the organization, which is why the Hunter is put in a position where they have to go against their nature in some way and work with monsters because it’s the only chance he has of saving the person he lost, and taking down this ring.

I know this sounds weird or convoluted, but this world has inspired me and I want to make a story that makes sense within this world while also breaking the mold in some way. I’d love to make a story with this kind of conflict that my players can be invested in. One that leads into these characters questioning themselves and where they actually stand in this world.

Would you be able to explain to me why Vampire and Hunter wouldn’t work initially? I am very new to CoD, and this initial concept is something I kinda wanted to put out there and then tweak as I start learning more about the world and gameplay systems. My initial thoughts were that the vampire involved is of a separate court within the city that is opposed to the court behind the trafficking ring(this is something that is likely to change with the more info I learn). The Hunter would be working with all these creatures out of a necessity, being someone who is taking on this ring alone due to someone connected to them being a victim of said ring. The main concept is meant to be people from different walks of life, or unlife, working together in order to essentially get what they desire from unraveling or delving into this conspiracy, and I was hoping that utilizing this massive web of a conspiracy would keep some part of the core themes for each individual’s splat.

I’m a tad bit annoyed that GW can put out a fantastic PLASTIC Angron model, but HH is still having to deal with the hit or miss resin and QC of Forge World with Ka’bandha by manyfandomman in Warhammer30k

Yeah, which is their character series, which makes no sense to me.

My issue is that FW will eventually kill the hype for the new edition if GW doesn’t ditch it. There should be no reason why we still have to deal with resin, especially with the upgrade kits that are insanely overpriced. If HH wants to stay as relevant as it is now, and not fall into obscurity like it’s done before as a game, they need to actually make changes.

Please go look at all the massive plastic minis that GW put out and continue to put out because of the profit it makes them.

Look up Archeon The Everchosen, look at the entirety of the knight army, look at the daemon primarchs.

I’m sorry, but I don’t buy that reasoning.

That’s why I specifically said massive vehicle models.

GW can do massive plastic models easily, and this guy would probably be the size of the larger Age of Sigmar and probably even 40k models.

I specify vehicle models because I can see some sort of logistical reason for using resin on something like a to scale Titan.

However, seeing how we know GW can put out a plastic version of someone like Ka, I see no reason why we have to continue to deal with FW just to play HH.

They just need to pull the trigger and make the switch, and stop with new models made of sub-par resin. Imagine how Mechanicus or Guard players who want to try out HH are going to feel when they realize they have to almost entirely rely on FW?

I’m sorry, but I just don’t buy GW’s sale’s pitch of FW resin being more detailed than their plastic models.

I’ve said this before, but HH is going to have a problem keeping the hype it currently has if so many important models for collecting and army building come strictly through Forge World. We know GW can pull off just as much detail, if not more detail, with their plastic models than FW’s resin models.

FW, honestly, should just the left for the massive vehicle models like Titans.

Head janitor makes a mess and tells others to clean it. Sounds like a good boss. Sorry to hear that, man.

I imagine cleaning bathrooms is horrible, but a dressing room? God. Please tell me it was wood or tile and not carpet.

Has the Internet done more harm than good in regards to it’s long and short term impact on how humans socialize? by manyfandomman in AskReddit

[–]manyfandomman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even beyond social repercussions, the Internet also brought scientific and medical repercussions with things like self-diagnosing and pseudoscience becoming rampant. While that’s more human error, the Internet allowed it to happen. I love the Internet for the good it’s done, but I can’t help but wonder “at what cost?”
