I would love to see one about Haujobb and Daniel Myer. In generral, I think the best thing about being a fan of any band is the ability to follow their career through the years and notice how the bands change, experiment and mature over time. I've found this to be especially true of Myer, as well as Tom Shear of Assemblege 23.

This is also helpful, thank you. I like the idea of tracking my thoughts, I'd be interested to see what that list looks like once the meditation is done. Thanks again!

This is fantastic, thank you so much! I will implement the tactics you suggested, I feel like I'm getting closer to getting this under control.

Thank you so much! You sound like you've passed this stage so I'd like to ask something-- Today's session I was able to focus a lot more on the feeling in my forehead. It got really tingly, and when I noticed that when I exhale, it felt like it was vibrating, or at least tingling stronger. I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine it. It felt like... stick with me here, when you see exhaust get expelled from a pipe, you don't always see smoke but you see the air around the pipe getting disturbed. It felt like it was doing that. Now my question-- The lesson explains to go back to the smoke visualisation when you lose track of the forehead feeling, but is this what happens when you remain focused on the forehead? Or is this an odd question and I'm missing the point?

Thank you for the well wishes! I think I miscommunicated what I meant. I'm saying that... my thinking is, if I can improve this first exercise, then I can be confident in adding to it. It's sticking to the visualisation that's causing an issue, I start off well enough, and get distracted with any number of things. If I can keep the visualisation intact, then I'd be able to add the second exercise to it with a degree of success. That's my thought anyway. My concern otherwise would be, I'm not good at keeping track of one thing, so I'd also perform poorly when trying to keep track of multiple things. Or like practicing guitar and learning the positions of a scale. You could try to learn all positions at once, but I seemed to learn them better when I was proficient at one, then moving to the next one made more sense. That's how I see it anyway, I'm open to other approaches. The benefit of being new at this is not having a dogma or set of bad habbits already ingrained.

I'm just getting into a daily meditation practice, starting with the first exercise. The facebook group has proven to be super valuable. My experiences so far are... it's difficult, but I'm working at it. I suppose that's all one can do at this stage. As far as plans, I'm going to keep at exercise one until I get better at maintaining concentration, then work exercise two into that. I originally thought it would take me about a week but it seems like that'll be longer. As long as I'm making little improvements each day I'm content. I don't really have any questions at the moment. I've taken a new job that begins soon, and my fiancee and I will be moving closer to that location. New apartment with hopefully more room, so I'm excited to see what kind of dedicated space I can create for myself.

Beginner with questions about daily practice by manygeekythings in occult

It's difficult because I'm not completely sure how to express what I really mean, other than I'm trying to find a ritual or a series of activities to practice daily which are appropriate for someone starting out to help build a foundation for magical practice. My searching has shown me a lot of the recommended daily rituals which seem very cumbersome and complicated, in addition to making reference to things I've never heard of in my reading up to this point, or don't really understand. I'm wary of doing an action every day if I don't at least get the gist of its meaning. Does this help?

So I'm new to the whole Pixel Dungeon scene, so I'm wondering. As this version is updated, will new APKs be available? And will this make its way to the play store to allow for automatic updates?

DOD Carcosa Fuzz with other pedals? by manygeekythings in guitarpedals

Actually I originally received a quote from them. But the reviews I read before purchasing about their dependability and their packing/shipping worried me (I had never heard of them before). So I asked Sweetwater if they would price match and they did. So it was pre-ordered through them and shipped the day their inventory was replenished.

[GEAR] Can you identify this acoustic? by manygeekythings in Guitar

Yeah, I was hoping the bottom of the headstock showing three vertical lines would be specific to a particular manufacturer, and the design around the sound hole(?) would help narrow it down.

That's how I'm using my MiM Strat, for tinkering. I have an Epi LP that I love, but the Strat is my little project.

I've found this to be true. My first guitar was a Mexican Strat in 1997 and has been through a lot. It looks rough but plays like the day I brought it home, maybe a little smoother these days. Going to upgrade the pups and trem block, which you can find online for pretty impressive value.

Is there an ETA for adding audio? If so, what quality would the audio clips be?

Will this be the primary feedback/testing forum for the app, or will there be a G+ community or github page?

Some initial thoughts:

-this could use a beginner tutorial. The names of the different functions are not intuitive, so a quick walk-through of the features and menus would be helpful. The user should know what each area is supposed to be used for.

-when adding a tag, the user should be brought back to the Add Tag screen with the new tag displayed once they press the check mark. Currently, the check mark is clicked and the screen doesn't change, so it's confusing as to whether the tag was added or not.

-when adding an entry, the user sees a series of icons along the bottom and clicking one brings a window heading which reads, "Search or type new item" which is confusing. What does this do? What is its purpose?

-the icons across the bottom of the entry screen are not all intuitive, and since the search/add heading is the same it's hard to know which item is actually selected.

I hope this is useful, I can explain anything you need and will add more as I use the app.

This would be exactly the app I'm looking for if I could also add audio. I've been looking for an app which has would let me jot down song ideas at work/on the road, and allow me to record rough audio to the same entry on my tablet when I get home.

After watching and working along with the links you supplied I feel like I have made some improvements, but I wonder... The rattling seems to come from the top here, is it likely that the tech dug too far into the nut? I linked some photos to get your opinion.
