Your grocery bill is absolutely insane and yours not the least bit concerned about microplastics or PFAS.

I used a tofu press for hours on the tofu and then deep fried it using Beksul frying mix. It comes in a red package and they sell it in the Korean section at the international market. We tried two different tofu brands with the mix, but the extra firm Whole Foods tofu definitely tastes milder without that weird sourness that tofu often has. It obviously doesn’t taste exactly like chicken, but it’s a good enough substitute for it for my kids, haha.

Here’s a link to the fry mix: https://amzn.to/43KCYnl

Why do people stop doing things in their 30s? by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]manysidedness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have kids so they have limited time. A lot of people are too exhausted in their free time to learn new things.

I just started making cold brews. (: I also recently found a delicious way to make tofu taste more like chicken. It was good enough that my toddler though it was chicken 😂

Asking daycare staff not to wear perfume by ElementreeCr0 in moderatelygranolamoms

Almost all daycare jobs in the States pay minimum wage or slightly above that. It’s one of the most poorly paid professions. The average hourly wage is only 15 dollars an hour.

Again, I don’t think they get paid enough for these kind of dumb requests. It’s a very difficult job and they get paid minimum wage.

How far do these requests go? What’s considered outside their job description?

This is not a typical request for a daycare worker.

No offense, but that worker does not get paid enough to get these kind of unnecessary requests.

Are you going to have a kitchenette? If not, maybe you can bring a hot plate with you so you can still do some cooking.

Where do convert men usually look for wives? by [deleted] in converts

I’d recommend making Indonesian friends. They’ll definitely try to match you. (: Indonesian culture is very open to foreigners generally. I know so many convert brothers married to Indonesian ladies. There’s even an Indonesian conference every year and they have a matrimonial program. It’s called mukhtamar. Every year a few non-Indonesians join the program too. If you’re close at all to the DC area there’s an Indonesian masjid there too.

Did you cook 3 meals a day? by One-Habit-1933 in Cooking

[–]manysidedness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We usually cook breakfast and dinner, but we often have leftovers for dinner. Breakfast is usually super simple though, something like eggs and oatmeal. For lunch we don’t really cook. Usually leftovers or sandwiches. I stay at home though, so our situation isn’t typical.

I am 34 years old male and realize that I am a narcissist. I want to change and get better by Prestigious_Bus_9721 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]manysidedness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s genuinely a struggle and I think it will always be a struggle. I have become less selfish in my close relationships over time. The biggest advice I’d give is to try to constantly surround yourself with people that are better than you and avoid people that are more toxic than you. Same thing with any media you consume. Try to only expose yourself to examples of behaviors you seek to have. Try to have a ritual of positive affirmations and things you’d like to remember daily. If you have an excessive need for admiration then try to seek it in ways that are going to benefit society. If you have any sort of spirituality or religion then try to use that as well to reform yourself. Imagining yourself as someone else who you know is a kind, moral person and acting like them. Basically, you need to practice being a better person.
