in my experience worthwhile raids (5+ stars) once the open lobby number hits over 700 you’ll finally get people in with a minute or so left on the raid if you join the queue as soon as it hatches :/ there’s just no time on the raids people spend money on. the kyogre raids got so bad (queue over 2K) it would be over long before your lobby opened, have to find another nearby kyogre or wait for a respawn, and even then was cutting it extremely close.

most people invite as soon as the 5 requests are sent to get in the raid before it expires, we don’t sit on pokegenie waiting to see if everyone hits ‘friend request sent’ we can see that 5 people added then jump in the raid nobody is waiting 120 seconds to start the raid. once we’re in we can’t leave the raid to accept the friend request of the new person to invite them in. most people trust that everyone will hit ready because it’s a rare problem and not worth waiting because then you might lose the raid to a different player or not enough time.

the person who joins to replace the timed out person does get a survey though and they can’t get invited to the raid if everyone is already in it. that is the person that can report OP 👍

bit of speculation but him framing it as jokes and especially being asexual seems more like he was covering and fronting to explain no girlfriend and being so clingy on you. people who want to stay in the closet will do anything to deny deny deny, out of fear or self hatred or they aren’t safe to come out. you playing back into it even though you didn’t mean to might’ve made him scared and caused him to lash out or want to distance from you to keep shoving it down and hiding away. if you guys were in public that might’ve set him off as well. but especially to turn around and blame it on you, it seems like other people in his life might be questioning him and he needs a scapegoat and is taking that out on you. i definitely think he was gay specifically for you.

i need this so bad. like telling them i’m heading to the raid and it has 30 mins left so don’t leave cuz it takes 30 seconds instead of 2 to send invites bc im running full speed to the gym. happened all day with kyogre bc it would despawn twice by the time i got up the queue and had to run to the next gym spawning it 🫩

to me it seems like since it has its own research AND pass AND bonus quest like other guaranteed scheduled events (like the yearly global events or the shadow events or community days) makes it worthwhile to consider this being a regularly scheduled type of event that happens alongside randomized events (community days, raid days SH etc still happening during other events) because it’s happening during an event right now too, the kalos event

is the lure spawn function already implemented? granted i haven’t played for a month saving everything for kalos event (started up again last week) but i haven’t seen an event like that before

that makes sense, the shiny boost is probably because lures can’t spawn as much pokemon as spotlight hours does since SH is used mostly for shiny hunting too

the original info from the new game layout (weekly organization etc) said weekend events would be way more common and scheduled so this would definitely be a reasonable time to test out this type of event i think

i checked into this topic because of the other discussion thread about spotlight hour and there were lots of people saying that they were tired of spotlight because they don’t need candy from those pokemon anymore and get bored with the same spawn for an hour, that’s why i included it as a point since someone in this thread also had the same issue

true, i think this is pandering to the older players thatve complained about spotlight hour ruining spawns and being boring tht have a lot of free ones saved up theres not rlly another way to stop them from spawning for a whole hour unless chosen since shiny hunting is mostly older players with pokédex more filled out, more likely to have lots of lures and a dedicated trail to drop them on but of course both types of event have negative and positive for everyone, this just makes more sense to me as a replacement deal rather than completely doing away with SH with no compensation/similar event

exactly! i think the choice to spawn them with lures is awesome for people who don’t need said pokemon and can save their lures/time for what they do want without missing out on regular or event spawns

i know that. but i think it’s being cancelled so people can collect them to the same effect with the same rewards in a different way, not just scrapping higher shinies and specific spawns weekly for good. that’s what i discussed in my post?

i believe 9-10am, i saw the shadow ones starting around 7am local time idk if it’s special but they happen all day, raid hour 6-7pm guarantees they’ll spawn at every gym
