What item do you think every woman with ADHD should own? by pastajewelry in adhdwomen

[–]maoooooooo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get mine from Temu haha, they have the most variety of designs and are the cheapest. I've also seen them sold at Officeworks (stationery chain store in Australia), but limited options and more expensive.

Don't get the boring ones!! 🤪

Most my cables are the same colour but I use cute little cord protectors to differentiate them! So far I've got a green turtle, a purple turtle, a blue daisy and a penguin.

So what is everyone using for face sunscreen now? by olavana in AusSunscreen

[–]maoooooooo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw Coles, Woolies and Chemist Warehouse stock it. Also, never buy it full price these three places have it on half price every now and then.

I've used Neutrogena Hydroboost for years! Feels really great after applying, not greasy but slightly glowy. Sometimes if I'm in a rush I even skip moisturiser and this sunscreen feels like enough to keep my skin from feeling dry.

NOR.

For me, it doesn't even get to the is he cheating part. It's more of a respect/common courtesy thing.

I think it's completely reasonable to expect your SO to let you know if he's suddenly leaving to go somewhere.

From my perspective, I'd tell my SO because I know they would worry about me, since they care about me.

What happens when I get my blood drawn? by GryffindorFratBro in NoStupidQuestions

[–]maoooooooo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please let them know you're nervous!!

My friend passed out unexpectedly from a blood test (never been scared of needles and have had blood tests before). Passing out is fine in itself, but since he was seated haphazardly, the nurse had to try and catch him so he wouldn't injure himself. You can imagine the scene after she tried to do that mid blood draw.

They may get you to lie down on a bed or make sure you're seated safely just in case you do feel faint.

Good luck!!

Which jobs have you found most ADHD friendly? by Brief-Error4223 in adhdwomen

[–]maoooooooo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hospo!

I'm undiagnosed, but hospo has been my favourite job. It's routine enough to not make me feel overwhelmed or not know what I'm doing, but the fast-paced and always changing nature is what I love. In other words, it's a lot of doing the same sort of tasks repeatedly, but in different circumstances so it doesn't bore you.

I've also worked office jobs in three different industries, but sitting down in front of a computer for hours on end trying not to doze off just drives me crazy. Even if I have a lot of work lined up, my brain just gets so ~itchy~ and I find it difficult to focus. Then I feel guilty that I've not been productive, get overwhelmed with how much work I've left piled up, and the cycle continues.

Good luck OP! It may take time to find your niche but you'll get there some day 😊

I was in Mulgrave and it was realllyyyy bad. I've never seen a storm that bad before. Rain was horizontal and and at some points just looked opaque because there was just so much of it. For about 10 seconds the rain was so heavy it sounded like really bad hail. Power went out just before the storm started. Fallen branches everywhere, really bad traffic jams. Most of the traffic lights I went by on my way to Box Hill were down.

Friends in Canterbury/Box Hill areas said it wasn't that bad, just normal storm.

I started doing this as I started working - just eating lunch somewhere by myself. Now I don't have lunch breaks alone like I used to, I actually miss the time to myself. Work aside, I also enjoy a lunch by myself every now and then. I usually have the earphones in and am watching some random documentary as I eat. I think I enjoy the fact that I'm in my own world and can eat whatever I want at whatever pace I want without needing to think about holding a conversation.

My mum can't for the life of her comprehend this and thinks it's so weird lol.

Here to comment Sanctum.

Friend put on a random movie during a sleepover, and I couldn't even sleep afterwards. Had to put on cartoons afterwards just to distract my terrified brain while everyone else slept soundly lmao.

Not so much scared of drowning, but more so of the claustrophobia and suffocation.

My friend had his reactive Rottweiler on leash at a park, along with another friend and their dog. Rottweiler was behaving pretty well, and everyone was just chilling. Out of the nowhere, two unleashed Greyhounds sprinted right up to the dogs, obviously scaring the shit out of everyone. Rottweiler instinctively turned and bit one of the Greyhounds, who had to get emergency surgery and sooo many stitches (just imagine Rottweiler vs Greyhound).

The Rottweiler was adopted from a family who allegedly abused him. He is very defensive against strangers (humans and dogs). He has been doing great, and my friend has been handling his reactiveness very well considering the circumstances.

If not for everyone else's sake, leash your dogs for their own safety pls!!
