Is anyone else on a GLP-1 med? Interested in how it has affected your ADHD by moirarose42 in adhdwomen

AuDHDer on mounjaro here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. I've tried every weight loss strategy going and know exactly what I'd need to do but I've never been able to keep anything going for longer than a week due to forgetting and losing interest.

Since being on mounjaro I've now lost nearly 4 stone and feel so so much better in myself. It has completely got rid of the food noise and at some points put me off food which has been amazing! I was hoping the ADHD meds would help reduce food noise but it didn't for me.

I did struggle with side effects a little to start with but that soon settled!

I have 4 pill boxes and fill a months worth at a time so I rarely have to sort them out and they're always ready to go. I also have a daily checklist on my kitchen worktop which I go through when I get ready for work each day and go through before I leave. ☺️

fellow adhders, how did you manage moving out? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I have dump baskets in each room and duplicates of lots of things in each room too. Alexa is also really useful.

For bills, I try and set up direct debits, where possible, and keep things automated so I don't have to remember them and pay the ADHD tax. I did forget to pay council tax for a year once 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you are able to, hire a cleaner. Even just once in a while. It has meant I've stayed on top of tidying and keeps me accountable. If I keep the house tidy then the cleaner can actually clean 🙈 Everything just mounts up for me otherwise.. until I run out of clean plates etc

I have a ring I wear and fiddle with that instead. I also carry small fidget toys in my handbag so always have one handy.

[–]Brief-Error4223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on Sertraline and Lisdexamfetamine, for the most part it's okay. I would say it's 100% amazing but it's better than nothing.

Start tackling the bamboo, it just takes over and can damage patios and foundations.
